A LIFE OF OBEDIANCE
Freelance writer Lupie Riley
Thought: What does that mean to live a life of obedience? Could it be not only to read the Word of God but to obey it? If we just read it without it changing our lives it becomes just a good fiction novel. How do you know if you’re a true believer?
EXAMINE YOURSELF: Know what your Bible says and believe with your whole heart that it is truly God’s spoken word. II Cor. 13:5 “Check up on yourselves. Are you really Christians? Do you pass the test? Do you feel Christ’s presence and power more and more within you? Or are you just pretending to be Christians when actually you aren’t at all? I hope you can agree that I have stood that test and truly belong to the Lord. (Paul speaking)
V9 Our greatest wish and prayer is that you will become mature Christians.”
EXERCISE YOURSELF: Move toward Godliness. Don’t become a stagnant Christian, it’s the Devils playground. Get to know the Lord daily by the reading of His Word and day to day communication with Him through prayer. II Tim. 3:16 “The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration of God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right. It is God’s way of making us well prepared at every point, fully equipped to do good to everyone.”
JUDGMENT: When you stand before the final judge you don’t want to hear these words….Math. 7:21-23” Not all who sound religious are really godly people. They may refer to me as “Lord” but still won’t get to heaven. For the decisive question is whether they obey my Father in heaven. At the Judgment, many will tell me, ‘Lord, Lord, we told others about you and used your name to cast out demons and to do many other great miracles’, But I will reply, “You have never been mine. Go away, for your deeds are evil.”
Statistics are saying 8% of Christians today will be raptured. That amounts to 30,000 people. What will happen to those left behind? Darkness will fall upon the nations and its people will morph under Anti-Christ’s rule. You don’t want to be one of those who are left behind. Make sure of your commitment to Jesus, the Savior of the world and coming King. Re-dedicate your life to Christ today.
Prayer: Father God, I want to be sure of Heaven, so I am re-dedicating my life to you today. You’re coming soon to set up your kingdom on Earth and I want to be part of that return in my new body after I’m raptured. Amen
Verse: Hebrews 4:13,13 “He knows about everyone, everywhere. Everything about us is bare and wide open to the all-seeing eyes of our living God; nothing can be hidden from Him to whom we must explain all that we have done. V16 So let us come boldly to the very throne of God and stay there to receive His mercy and to find grace to help us in our times of need. “ (His temple is within us, we are the body of Christ, His church)
