Is It Too Late?

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 

At this time of year, we are all aware of the dangers and threats from severe weather such as thunderstorms, with hail, wind, lightening and tornados. We don’t know to what degree the severity will be, but being warned, we take precautions and prepare keeping a careful watch for just such occurrences.

We live with the truth, and  facts, that these things will take place, and are warned sometimes days in advance, and sometimes we only have minutes to seek shelter, and those not heeding the warning, pay a price for ignoring the warnings.

So, my answer to the title, “ IS IT TO LATE?” Is  in a sense, “NO”. For those seeking repentance and forgiveness, and  those Christians who are slumbering, the door is still open, but to those not heeding the warnings, destruction awaits.

I love this nation and for what it once stood for, the freedoms, the opportunities, the freedom to worship God without interference from government, but alas it saddens me to the point of tears to see what has happened to this nation in just the past twenty years, and  is  not recognizable as the America I was raised and educated in in the 1950’s and early 60’s.

 Because of her allegiance, faith and  trust in  the God of creation, He bountifully blessed this nation from it’s infancy of a tattered group of farmers and settlers to become the  greatest nation on the face of the earth, and to which most of the world looked up to for inspiration, but things began to change in the early 1960’s when we decided we didn’t need God anymore, and began demanding He leave our schools, our government offices, our industries, our retail stores and finally our homes and churches.

Schools no longer allowed prayer, the ten commandments, or anything to do with the God of creation and this spilled over to other areas of life including the family. So, God the creator of the universe, a loving, patient, just, and righteous  God, complied and reluctantly stepped aside to allow this nation to destroy itself from within, and we have done a superb job of it in the past 60 years.

Is it too late for AMERICA? Yes, I believe so.  God has passed judgement and she is about to reap the harvest of the  seeds she has sown.

Revelation 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

God chose Noah to preach and warn the people of a coming cataclysmic  judgement against the wickedness of the world at that time. Noah preached for 120 years to the people. They ignored the warnings and only eight souls out of millions were spared the judgement.

God sent angels to Sodom and Gomorrah to warn Lot and his family to vacate the city before judgement began raining down. All ignored the warnings,  and Lot, his wife and two daughters had to be forcibly removed by the Angels as judgement began raining down. Sodom and Gomorrah ignored God and no longer exists.

God sent prophets to the northern 10 tribes of Israel warning them to turn from the wickedness and idolatry of idol worship before judgement was passed. They ignored the warnings and God  allowed the Assyrians to overcome them, and to scatter them across the world, no longer existing as the ten tribes of Israel. 

God chose Jeremiah as a young man to go and warn the  remaining 2 tribes of Judah and Benjamin to turn from their wickedness before judgement was passed. They ignored Jeremiah and attempted to silence him by many means, but Jeremiah was persistent in carrying out Gods warning to the people of the soon coming judgement. They ignored Jeremiah’s warnings and were taken captive by the Babylonians as Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed.

Jesus warned the people of His day of the coming destruction of Jerusalem, the Temple, and the scattering of the Jewish people to all parts of the world. They mocked Him, ignored Him, and then crucified Him. Jerusalem was over-ran and seized by the Roman Army, led by Titus in AD 70, resulting in the deaths of over a million inhabitants of Jerusalem and the scattering of the Jewish people.

God has sent warnings to the people of the coming judgement of America for her flagrant disregard of His commandments and His words.

The Bible records the warnings God gave to the people and nations before judgement rained down, and as the Bible records, most ignored until it was too late.

It was too late for the  Antediluvian people of Noah’s day

It was too late for Sodom and Gomorrah

It was too late for the ten northern tribes of Israel

It was too late for the Jewish nation at Jerusalem

It was too late for the people of Jerusalem in AD70

And folks, sadly, I believe it is too late for America.

When a nation gladly slides deep into sin, praising and upholding such abominable sins against God’s laws as homosexuality, same sex marriage, the killing of innocent babies by the millions yearly in the name of sexual freedom, when rightousness is criminalized, and evil is legalized, any student of the Bible, and Gods prophecies can see the handwriting on the wall, and without a doubt, knows this nation is under judgment, which  goes to prove that  God has given them over to a reprobate mind.

Psalms 69:21-25 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.

23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.

24 Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.

25 Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.

You are being warned, turn from your sins, turn from the pleasures of the worldly ways, Turn back to God seeking repentance and following His words, not the words and traditions of man.

If the Bible says it, Believe it, If it’s not in the Bible it’s not for you. Follow Jesus, not man.

May God add a blessing to the going forth of His word and to those reading it.
