Would it be surprising if there are parallels between Noah's Flood and COVID? I don't think so.
Amazingly, the story of Noah takes up nearly all of the second of ten "generation" accounts in the book of Genesis. Lamech and his young son, Noah, are the "sunrise" at the beginning of the second millennium of history since year one of the creation "week," which I believe was seven years, after fourteen billion years with no macro-evolution (Genesis 1:1,2). From the creation of Adam in the sixth year of the creation "week" to the Flood was 1,656 years and the story of Noah runs from Genesis 5:28 to Genesis 9:28, his 950-year life. (By the way, I believe that God began to tilt the earth from vertical on its axis to cause the Flood and more cosmic radiation to speed aging and death. This is why lifespans were decreasing from the Flood to perhaps beyond the Exodus. Moses died at 120 and Joshua at 110.)
So, we have about the first 1,000 years of human history covered from Genesis 2:4 (the beginning of the first "generation" account, "the generations of the heavens and the earth") to Genesis 5:27. Then we have about the second 1,000 years of human history covered from Genesis 5:28 to Genesis 9:28. But nearly all of that second millennium story is about the 120-year period leading up to the Flood in Noah's 600th year and, especially, the Flood itself. (By the way, I have written other articles on this site about this 120 years of demonic activity that God allowed and its parallel to the 120 years of Satanic and demonic activity leading up to the Second Day of Wrath in the 6,000th year, 2030/31.) In fact, all of chapters 7 and 8 of Genesis are about the Flood and even most of chapter 9 is immediately after it, including the covenant of the rainbow (which would now appear, because the tilt of the earth brings seasons, including rainy ones).
Why did God devote so much scripture to telling the story of the Flood? It provides the details of the ark's construction. It tells how He brought the seven pairs of each clean animal and one pair of each unclean animal to Noah. (Obviously, that didn't include the dinosaurs: prophetically telling of the destruction of the "dragon," Satan, in the 6,000th year.) It even details specific dates: e.g., the date that Noah and his family entered the ark, the date the Flood began, the date the ark rested on Mount Ararat, the date other mountains became visible, the date the water dried up and the date they went out of the ark. Why so much detail?
I believe for at least two reasons. Firstly, it attests to the historicity of the account of God's First Day of Wrath, which was an extremely notable event in human history. God began history, His story, with Adam and, in a sense, began it again with Noah. From Noah's son, Shem, would come the "sunrise" of the third millennium, Terah and Abram, the beginning of the four millennia of Israel.
Secondly, the Flood in Noah's 600th year is prophetic of God's Second Day of Wrath in the 6,000th year, 2030/31, the climax of history, His story. I believe that there are many parallels between the Flood and the judgments that have begun in the 10 years leading up to 2030/31, beginning with COVID, which has basically run 2020/21. Were the 10 plagues of Egypt, which Revelation says is a figure for Israel, prophetic of 10 years of judgments? I'm inclined to think so. (See my previous short article on this site.)
Isn't it interesting that Noah and his family and all the "families" of animals that were saved on the ark were basically in "lockdown" for one year and 17 days before God's judgment "passed over"? Is it just coincidence that parallels the roughly year-long "lockdown" that the world has been in with COVID before God's judgment "passes over" with the help of vaccines? I'm inclined to think no.
And what's the first thing that happened when all exited the ark? Noah sacrificed. Expect the Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem shortly to sacrifice the Red Heifer and begin their regular sacrifice: one lamb in the evening and one lamb in the morning, which were all intended to foreshadow our Passover Lamb, our "Sunrise" at the beginning of the fifth millennium, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
