MY INSPIRED AWAKENING

(A personal, opinion blog of today’s America)

Psalm 2:1-5 "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure."

I was suddenly awakened sometime in the middle of night by the piercing sound of my Apple Watch alert system. It was a breaking news story out of the state of Georgia. According to the bulletin, Conservatives were predicated to have lost the two Georgia Senate run-off seats. This was highly unusual, in this conservative southern state. It was not expected to happen. Is this state now a signal of America’s pending societal change?

What has happened to America’s great free republic, once called “the land of the free and home of the brave"? Apparently, America seems to be on a slippery downward progressive slope which has never happened before in my lifetime. Where she will land is anybody’s guess.

It’s kind of like good old Ben Franklin was alleged to have said. The deliberations of the Constitutional Convention of 1787 were held in strict secrecy. Consequently, anxious citizens gathered outside Independence Hall when the proceedings ended in order to learn what had been produced behind closed doors. The answer was provided immediately. Mrs. Powell of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, “A republic, if you can keep it.”

What course will America be continuing? Is America quickly approaching a time of national judgement? After viewing this all-important bulletin, I felt like deleting all my published patriotic blogs.

What’s the use in trying, I thought, as I lay awake there in the middle of the night, totally confused by it all? Quickly, a still small voice resonated within my emotion in full high fidelity stereophonic sound, “I fought for you, now you must fight for me.” Instantly, as if by divine direction, a past Bible study scripture came to mind. (Isaiah 58:1) Thank you Lord!

What’s wrong here? Where are we headed? Why are so many politicians jumping the proverbial conservative ship?  I fear America will not ever return to the norms of conservativism.

Is the Rapture, the catching away of the Christians into the heavenlies, (Revelation 4:1) (I Corinthians15:51-53) (I Thessalonians 4:13-18) now our only hope?

Then it hit me in the middle of the night like a ton of bricks, the real main issue behind this most unusual Georgia Senate race. It’s not one of Democrats winning out over Republicans. It's not red verses blue, It’s not blacks winning over whites. It’s not liberals winning over conservatives. It’s not socialist winning over capitalist.

It’s the age-old factor of evil winning over good, which actually started way back in the Garden of Eden, with the sin of our first parents. (Genesis 3:1-7) And it continues on until this day. (Isaiah 5:20-21)

One need only keep up with America’s news media to see that America is definitely in an end time race, the godly versus the ungodly. We are now, as never before, in a progressive spiritual war. (Ephesians 6:12) It is an unseen war of many battles, the likes of which we have never before experienced. Satan and his millions of fallen angels (Revelation 12:4) are battling against God's principles, God's divine will for our world and our country.

These end time events are descriptively given in Scripture. (II Timothy 3: 1-9,13) (II Timothy 4:3-4) (Matthew 24:7,12,23,37-39) (Revelation 6:5-6) (II Peter 3:3-4)

And what’s so discouraging, from a secular frame of mind, is it won’t get any better, only worse. America's political environment is just one of many tools used by Satan, one of his evil game plans. So, is this old world doomed? Is America now on the verge of national judgment? Maybe so!

In his book the Harbinger II, Jonathan Cahn gives a prime example of America’s national judgment. A photographer was surveying the Twin Towers wreckage, when he happened to see a charred piece of paper. He wasn’t allowed to go near it but he took a photo, which he later was able to read.

The photo was a charred page from Scripture, quoting a passage from the Tower of Babel in the book of Genesis.

“They said, 'Now let’s build a city with a tower that reaches the sky, so that we can make a name for ourselves.'"  (Genesis 11:4) Likewise, the builders of the Twin Towers set out to build the tallest structure in the world.”

So, was this well-placed crumpled Bible page simply a random occurrence or was it divine prophecy, this unusual find amidst all the chaotic destruction? I think the latter! The destruction of the Twin Towers was, in my opinion, a warning of impending judgement to come.

America is closer than ever before to being under national judgment for its moral corruption. Is America throwing away its most treasured position of the most blessed nation in the world?   Are these most favored blessings fast disappearing?

To see what I mean, place the Bible prophecy on the newspaper. I challenge you to see the difference, for there is none. It’s like the law of cause and effect.     Remove the cause and the effect goes away.

President Herbert Hoover once gave America a written warning,” Our greatest danger is not from invasion by foreign armies. Our dangers are that we may commit suicide from within by complaisance with evil.”

So, is America now on the verge of moving quickly down that slippery path to self-destruction?  Be it so or not, what’s the answer? If not for God’s word, I’d have to say yes. God always gives warning before jugement.

The below excerpt is taken from the book “The Harbinger II, The Return”, by Jonathan Cahn)

“When a nation turns away from God and the foundation on which it was established, the turning of spirit will inevitably lead to a turning of values, the changing of standards, laws, and precepts. It will rewrite the tablets.  It will alter the underpinnings on which it stands. That which it had long upheld as right, it will now judge as evil, and what it had long opposed as wrong, it now champions.

And if America has likewise turned away from God, then we will witness the same metamorphosis, the same transformation of values. And what the nation once knew to be right, it will now war against, and when it once knew to be wrong, it will now celebrate.”

If a nation should uphold the ways of the Almighty, then it shall be upheld. But if it should pass judgement upon the ways of the Almighty, then upon that nation shall the judgement of the Almighty be passed.”

God’s Word has given us, His people, a workable command, followed by a promise. (II Chronicles 7:14)

The following comment is taken from (biblepress.com) “Is America Israel? No. Is God an American? No. But can warnings and promises to God’s people in the Old Testament be applied to Christians today? Absolutely.

Regarding II Chronicles 7:14, it is very appropriate for any Christian to obey the spirit of this text by endeavoring to humble himself or herself, pray, seek God’s face and turn from wicked ways, trusting that God will hear, forgive and heal.

Paul said in I Corinthians 10:11-12 (NASB), “Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. Therefore, let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall.”

So., I know not the future of America. But I know who holds America’s future. Amen! Maybe I’ll get a bit of sleep tonight. Sweet dreams, all!

My parting prayer.

Father God, I’m so unsettled within my spirit, my soul trembles within me. I know You are still our all-powerful, all-knowing Redeemer. I know You still place the just and unjust in authority according to Your perfect will. (Daniel 2:21). I know You reward good and punish evil (Genesis 12:3) with respect to Your people Israel. And I know from personal ongoing experience, that You love and protect Your own. (John 3:16) Thank You for Jesus and Your Holy Spirit to lead me and guide me into all truth, In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

AUTHOR’S POSTSCRIPT

(The following post is taken from Ron MacMurray’s Facebook page)

Copied from Pastor Jim Bretell.

ARE YOU PREPARED?

I write this post as objectively as I know how, with no hatred, animosity, name-calling, or anything of the sort; just an objective observation.

Four years ago, political conservatives laughed at crying (literally) liberals because of the 2016 results. At that time, my immediate thought for those who were doing the laughing was to be careful because "he who laughs first, laughs last."

Now, the table may be turning, and my question is this to those who laughed first. Has your Pastor taught you enough doctrine that you will be able to handle the pressure that may soon be on its way? If you are still receiving feel-good sermons, you need to strongly consider finding a Pastor who will give you the truth that you are going to need – and there are a few Pastors out here who can and will provide the spiritual food that you are going to need – and that food is sound, doctrinal teaching. For example: II Timothy 1:7 "FOR GOD HATH NOT GIVEN US THE SPIRIT OF FEAR; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." And how about this: I Thessalonians 5:18 "In EVERYTHING give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." Spiritual advance to spiritual maturity occurs under pressure in the angelic conflict. If you can't handle the pressure, there will be no spiritual advance in your life. God the Father's plan for the human race includes pressure in your life for two possible reasons: 1) to get your attention that your plan isn't working, and 2) for spiritual advance to Christian maturity. Pressure in your life creates both capacity for suffering and capacity for blessing. Do you see this? Do you understand this? If your answer is "yes", then keep on keeping-on. If your answer is "no", then start searching for a Pastor who can give you the unadulterated truth because the future is not and will not "be pretty", and you need to be prepared.

Respectfully posted.
