How Hell on Earth Ensues When Christ is Absent From Our Lives and Reflections on WW1, WW2, and Auschwitz

-The communist Soldiers often said "there is no God, no hereafter, no punishment for evil, we can do what we wish" I have heard one torturer even say "I thank God, in whom I don't believe, that I have lived to this hour where I can express all the evil in my heart." He expressed it in unbelievable brutality and torture inflicted on prisoners.
The excerpt above is from the book called "On guard, Defending Your Faith" by William Lane Craig.
At the very core of not believing in God and Jesus our society falls into and spirals into a place where there are no morals anymore, and sadly/arguably it takes for people to see pure expressions of evil due to the absence of Jesus in peoples lives, for people to choose to come to Jesus. It often takes people to see the face of pure evil for them to be terrified into turning back to God. In the case of World War One and Two, it is of my opinion that God was so absent from peoples hearts and lives that evil manifested in a pure way through Hitler and The Nazis. I pray with my whole heart that our mostly Godless society right now does not descend into such a place where it's like the Ten Commandments are reversed.
It was often said by survivors of the Holocaust that survived Auschwitz that being in that horrible prison camp was like being in a place where The Ten Commandments were absent or reversed. It was like hell on earth. The people begged for Jesus to come and appear to them and all of humanity's hearts as a collective so that they could see The Ten Commandments being followed again.
Below is another excerpt from the same book by Willam Lane Craig as the concentration camp survivors describe Auschwitz:
-One rabbi who survived the camp summed it up well when he said that "At Auschwitz it was as though there existed a world in which all The Ten Commandments were reversed. Mankind had never seen such a hell"
We don't know how much we need Jesus until the absence of Jesus in our lives starts to turn our world through sin into a hellish reality that we never thought could have existed here on earth. In the past it was the reality of two world wars. We must pray and repent, not just for the sake of pleasing our God (Although that is the most important reason), but for the sake of us as humans not hurting each other, whether knowingly or unknowingly. We must repent for the sake of obeying the commandment: "And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
". Mark 12:31.
It all boils down to honouring that commandment. In order to fully obey and honour that commandment, we must believe in the higher power that is Jesus. Without believing in Jesus, there is no way to fulfill that commandment in the way and manner that God wants us to. With Jesus we are still sinners, and unable to fulfill that commandment fully, but at least we can do a better job following that commandment internally and externally than if we didn't have the God of the universe helping us.
