Do most Christians realize what time in all of the centuries we are living at this present moment? The average pastor doesn't talk about it. Christian talk shows don't mention it. One won't hear about it from most televangelists. Unless a person is tuned into prophecy programs or reading books on the subject, how would anyone know? The only way to know what is really happening is through having a good knowledge of Bible prophecy combined with being well informed about current events, and identifying how they are aligning with fulfilling prophecy. All prophecies have been fulfilled, or are in the process of being fulfilled, right now, for the first time in all of history. There have always been a few prophecies fulfilled here and there in various times down through the centuries, but to see them all converging at this moment, in this generation, is quite significant. The Book of Revelation is no longer a book of prophetic events, along with other prophecy passages, to be viewed as things in the future long after we are dead and gone. We are living it now! The signs of the time that Jesus spoke of that people would see at the end of the Church Age of Grace are now upon us! The Age of Grace is a biblical time period which began at the death and resurrection of Christ and continues to the present, but it is winding down, leading up to a time of severe judgment. Jesus prophesied the events and world conditions that would be evident at that time. We are the generation living at the time Jesus prophesied. With all of the above said, the next big three events on God's Divine Calendar are 1)the rapture (catching up of all true born-again believers into the presence of Christ, 2) the seven-year Tribulation Period, and 3) the 1000 year reign of Christ upon the earth. I am not a religious fanatic nor a date-setter by what I am about to say. With prophecies being fulfilled and converging at an ever-incresing rate to the exact detail in the way the Bible has prophesied, I would not be surprised if the first two events above and the beginning of the third, could all happen within the next 10 years! I realize this is a bold statement to make. Disclaimer: Remember, I am not predicting it will happen in this time frame, but based upon what I have mentioned above in this article, I say again, I would not be surprised if they do. When one considers the fact that the rapture will occur in a "twinkling of an eye," and the Tribulation Period will last seven years, that would still give time for the start of Jesus' 1000 year reign, even if there is a lapse in time between the events. The political stage is set. The "props" are being set in place. The actors are assuming their roles. Very soon the curtain will unfurl and Jesus will appear. It will happen like a thief in the night and when people are least expecting it. If pastors and talk show hosts were proclaiming this, more people would understand what the Bible teaches about prophecy and recognize the world conditions that are fulfilling it, but most don't have a clue as to what is happening. Born-again believers could very soon leave this planet without experiencing physical death. It may help them live with an eternal perspective as they leave this world and are instantly in the the presence of God. Non-believers could be warned about the judgment soon to fall upon the world. All people could be encouraged with hope in the reign of Christ when there will be peace, justice, and righteousness, for which the whole world has longed all through history. If you have not done so, accept Jesus Christ now, before it is too late, and you will be a part of God's Eternal Kingdom.
