Man’s Basic Need Is God And Without Him….
The content and intent of God’s message is always clear and blessed, for God intends the salvation of all and He leaves no stones unturned to convey this blessed message of our salvation.
John the Baptist was sent to prepare a way for the Lord God….
“….the word of God came to John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. And he went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying:
“The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight. Every valley shall be filled And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough ways smooth; And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.’ ”
A prophesy in the Old Testament, its fulfillment in John and his call to repentance, Christ’s coming to this world, dying instead for our sins, rising again to give us the hope of glory and the process continues with the spreading of the gospel by them who are filled with the Holy Spirit. What more does is require to prove that God really desires transformation and eventually that “all flesh shall see the salvation of God”.
Let us not just be observers of God’s salvation, let’s also be experiencers of this blessed saved life.
Man’s basic need is God and without Him all of life is vanity and waste.
God is not just a beautiful Creator as we see His works in the Nature, He is a loving Father, a compassionate Savior, a Reconciler and a Restorer.
John’s message was loud and clear, the exhibition of Christ’s love was perfect, His providence extended through the Holy Spirit is awesome, yet……..how does this affect us? Are we saved yet?
Let’s extend our hands and receive what God has for us, for the gift of salvation is vital for our survival.
