Otaku Hinata The Forgetten Samarai Prophet

Author requests article critique
There once was a Samarai named Otaku-Hinata. He was the most fierce Samarai in all of his prefecture in Japan. He was a mighty warrior and knew much of war; however there was always a side to him that seeked the more meek reality and spiritual sides of life. He always wanted to find his own path.
He grew up in a battle hardened society, Where he only knew war since he was nine years old. His father trained him as a Samurai since he was four and there were always battles in his prefecture. He spent many days as a child wondering if his father would return from his battles. He also spent many nights helping his mother bandage up his Fathers wounds. Sadly war was a constant part of he and his families life.
One day when Otaku was nine years old an enemy clan came and raided his house. Tragically the clan killed his whole family; but Otaku escaped. He didn’t escape in any way with ease though, as he was forced to fight in his first battle for his life. At the young age of nine he killed two rival Samurai’s in order to escape. Once he escaped he had gotten his first taste of war, and he got on his knees and vowed that he would one day find a life without war. He vowed he would find a life of tranquility and peace.
Life was also hard for him as he grew up living completely relying on himself. In order to avoid conflict as a child he lived as a ghost in the mountains. War was prevalent in all the land so he had to remain in the mountains until he was old enough to fend for himself in the scary, tragic-war-filled lands of ancient feudal-Japan. One could say that his time growing up in the mountains utterly alone was his “wilderness”. Every prophet has a wilderness. By the time he was thirteen years old he was a full-fledged Samarai who became notorious for his warring and strategic fighting abilities.
Much of his time spent in the mountains was spent writing poetry. He also spent much time collecting birds and keeping them in his home-made faceted bamboo cages. He would let the birds go day and night and they would patrol to see if there were any enemies near by. The birds always came back to him as they were his only friends and company.
When Otaku was older and he finally ventured into the public of feudal Japan, he walked with a confidence through the neighbouring villages however he always kept his distance from most town folk. He didn’t want to get too close to anyone, as he had trust issues as it was a survival mechanism for him. He gradually made friends here and there in various clans and villages but he was always a kind of lone renegade-warrior. He had something about him, he was a man of meek-gentle-charisma.
By the time he was twenty-one years old every rivalling Samarai wanted him dead. Seeing that Otaku had no allies, that was just the way it was in Feudal Japan. When someone was a threat on the battlefield, all the opposing Samarai's wanted that person dead. He got the nickname “lone-king”, by rivalling battle clans but Otaku hated and always refused that nickname as he was humble, and some part of his heart stirred and always knew there was another king out there in the universe far greater than he. He simply knew he himself was no king. Otaku just wanted to find peace and give reverence to such a king.
Later on, after fighting in many battles he was wounded the most he’d ever been. He was walking down a trodden path bleeding. He truly didn’t know if he would survive. He’d managed to escape his enemies but he was very weak. He found rest in an ancient abandoned landmark hut that was hidden underneath the thin-lined lillies and twigs. That night when he went to bed he was thinking, "this may be the last time I’m alive. Oh please peace reach me before I die" not knowing if he’d survive the sleep.
As he was sleeping what looked to be two angels appeared to him. One angel was bright blue, and the other was bright red. These two wondrous, glorious beings were silent and said nothing. They just smiled at Otaku. Otaku knew they were from heaven. Then after a moment of profound peace the two spirits flew into the night sky and disappeared among the stars. Otaku felt a profound peace. As Otaku glanced down from the stars, another being was standing in front of him. The being put his hand out and healed Otakus wounds and Otaku even felt a surge of energy propel through his chest. It felt like his heart was kick-started and made new. His heart was softened.
Otaku knew he was reborn of the heart. He was reborn with a softest of hearts. This being said to him, “My name is Christ, I am your God. I am the king you’ve always known existed. Creation always testified to my existence through nature and your humble heart has always known it. I’ve chosen to show myself to you as I can see you are a great and mighty prophet of peace and not of war.. There is a way out of your pit of distress in this life. I know life has never been easy for you, but I see your revived heart. I have always seen your heart. You are not a man of war. I created you to be a man of peace in this land of darkness. Peace and forgiveness is the only way out for you. Write down what you have seen here. Write down your poems and don’t pursue the wilderness anymore. Pursue me; for i am the water that quenches in the barren wilderness. I have always protected you. Don't pursue the mountains. pursue me; for I will give u a faith that can move mountains. Don’t pursue the beauty of the sun. Pursue me for I am the son of all creation. I am the son of God. Don’t pursue the wondrous comfort of the stars. Pursue me, for I am the bright morning star. Don’t pursue your own heart in this wilderness. Pursue my heart; for my heart holds the Love of God himself within and exposes all deceit of man’s heart.”
Otaku got on his knees, and said, “My king, I have been searching for you since I was nine years old. I always knew there was a place for my dreadful human-humility to lie and be cleansed with a more righteous humility..I have been a fool fumbling around in the dark in this barren war-torn land and alas I have found salvation!!! I have found you!!!”. With tears in his eyes he kissed Christ’s feet. Christ told him of the gospel and told him the words of John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Christ told Otaku to write it on a scroll and write it on his heart as well. Christ then told Otaku, “Go into the enemy camp and tell them of the news I have told you.” Otaku replied, “But Lord they will kill me.” “I will protect you. Remember, I am within you. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4.” With great faith and humility Otaku pledged oath to Jesus that he would walk into the camp, and deliver and explain the scroll of John 3:16 that he had written down.
At once in the morning Otaku awoke and with zeal of obedience to a greater humility outside of himself, he began walking to the enemy clans camp. As he walked toward the enemy camp he looked up at the sky and saw the sunrise with two angels in the distance testifying to Christ as part of The Lord’s creation. Otaku smirked and said under his breath “My King is with me”.
He arrived at the camp and approached the enemy Samarai's. He brought with him an offering of peace but the lead Samarai drew his sword to kill him; however, Otaku defended himself and gently struck the enemy Samarai to the ground without hurting him. Then Otaku remembered without fear, “He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world” 1 John 4:4. He got on his knees, turned his back from the enemy and started to pray to God with the John 3 :16 scroll right in front of him. He said the most heartfelt prayer to God, that God would let him experience and live in a land of peace. At first the enemy was amused but then all their hearts were moved.
Angels then appeared over Otaku and their light and beauty blinded the enemy Samarai's. The enemy Samarai's could also hear Otakus prayers amplified into their heads as if his prayers were part of the wind itself. There was no escape from the mournful sound of Otaku-Hinata’s prayers. The enemy Samarai's were moved from the prayer in almost a trance-like state; then all the enemy Samarai’s wept aloud. “We want peace too! Who is this strange man that he even befriends the spirits in the sky? Surely he must be a prophet!
When the enemy Samarai's came to their senses and regained their vision, they looked up to see Otaku and give him their peace and homage, but Otaku was mysteriously gone. .All that was left was the wind blowing, and the scroll of John 3:16 sitting on the ground amidst the lilies and grassy weeds. Elijah (Otaku) had once again ascended into heaven.
