"Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations." (Psalm 100:4-5)
Every once in a while, I will get out the old family photograph album and reminisce a little. One of the family's favorite pictures is the one of me eating a big turkey drumstick with the old-fashioned, homemade gravy dribbling from my chin. I can still almost taste that treat dripping off the photo. Wow, what a Thanksgiving that was. What a memory!
We can never thank our loving heavenly Father enough. His loving kindness opens our eyes to the riches of His glorious inheritance. (Eph. 1:18) Where would we be without Him? (Eph. 2:12) Without Him, we would surely be hopelessly lost.
You see, we are all blessed to be living in this great country of ours. How many times do we stop and thank our all-powerful, all-knowing Creator for all the blessings He has bestowed upon on us? (Psalm 27:8) He has blessed us with family, friends and neighbors.
So when you sit down to that traditional Thanksgiving feast, take a moment and stop to thank Him for all His blessings, especially this time of the year. (Psalm 8:3-9)
