A Praying Christian Is A Staying Christian.
Let me take the example of Daniel from the Bible, he had a habit of prayer and I believe, he loved that habit (Its good when you pour all you have before God in prayer, for it unburdens you and you have the assurance that your life is now in safe hands).
Daniel was so much into this habit and enjoyed God’s presence that when he was given the option to choose between ‘prayer and death’, he chose to pray and if need be for this, he was even ready to die.
This praying man saw kingdoms change and the mighty who threatened him being dethroned, yet the Lord kept him safe even before his enemies.
I am also reminded at this moment of martyrs who were martyred for prayer, yet I still believe they too are ‘staying Christians’, for by staying I do not mean an extended life in this earth, but rather staying faithful and joyful in God’s presence either in this earth or in heaven.
A praying Christian is truly a staying Christian, may this habit be also be found in us and may we rejoice in God’s presence as we faithfully stay as we pray.
