Living is Exercising Faith By Robert Schaetzle
Most of humanity wakes every morning without recognizing we’re exercising faith. Throughout our waking hours we demonstrate a measure of faith given us from God. He measures our faith through our hearts actions.
“For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.” Romans 12:3 NASB
Things I do every day are because of the intentions and actions of my heart. As I begin my day, I dedicate the day to God. It might appear too simple-minded to a lot of folks. But Since I’m to be a representation of God’s holiness, [cf: 1 Corinthians 3:16] my purpose, my significance, should be for His honor, not mine.
I challenge each follower of Jesus, every morning; whether starting the day in prayer, and reading His promises. Before rushing off, whether it be going to work, taking children to school. Consider dedicating the day to God. You’ll witness faith, measured out for us by God, in a fuller abundance of grace, and wisdom.
Recognize ‘faith in action,’ as testimony of God’s power and authority beyond what human reasoning can do. I say this as testimony recognizing the power of His presence to lead me throughout most of my 40 years of public service, as I would begin my day dedicating it to God.
Father, open our hearts, our minds, reveal your prompting each new day. Keep knocking at the door of our heart. Let our desire be your presence and authority as we exercise faith given us. AMEN
