No Exemptions From The Blessed Way
Would there be a way ‘to be out for some time’,
To off-track self from the narrow way?
Would an exemption be granted from holiness,
To walk in sins and worldly ways?
The Bible states of a moment in life
When King David -‘a man according to God’s heart’
When all other kings went out for war,
He decided to rest-presuming He’s away from all of enemy’s fiery dart.
Little did he knew that sin awaited in the lust of eyes,
Which quickly and soon caught his attention,
Safer am I when away from the battlefield,
O how proved wrong his presumption!
The consequences of this fall lasted for years,
And chaos didn’t leave even his loved ones
And David had to shed many a tears
When he saw the enmity even amongst his sons.
The price we may pay for our choice to deviate,
From the narrow way and from God’s commands
Will ruin our life and steal away our peace,
Let’s never lose this blessed ‘God’s friendship band’
There is perfect peace in the narrow way,
There is joy unspeakable as we obey,
None can ever satisfy our soul,
As Christ ever will be our goal.
