Did not sleep much again and decided to get up around 3:30 am. In warmer months always come downstairs opening our front door to our enclosed front porch. I then slide open the windows and take my place on the couch near one of them to quietly reflect in God, spending time with him while the world is still sleeping.
This morning a gentle rain fell and its fresh smell wafted into my nostrils and I was thankful for the rain upon the earth, watering plants, flowers, veggies andall the crops whose roots depend on it to grow and mature.
As a woman of Faith whose desire is to grow and mature into my spiritual realm, I too, need daily rain in my soul from God imparting into me wisdom, discernment and Holy Spirit direction.
I have learned to spend early morning times in taking steps to nurture my personal relationship with Father receiving manna for my soul as He waters me in refreshing renewal of His Spirit in mine.
Receiving from God all I need for the day's task as He revives, renewing my thoughts, heart and soul means I have to be intentional in carving space in these solitude times to be with Him, soaking in rich spiritual insight and vibrant Holy Spirit filling.
There is no other God who offers to us such mercy, such caring, such attentive love as the God I have come to experience as reality and as One who brings the revelation of His truth to me again and again and again.
When I asked Jesus if He was real to show me His reality at 19 years old, alone in my bedroom, the next moment my entire body was filled with an overwhelming love shaking me to my core and I knew from that moment to now, this God was real and I encountered Him as real and I experienced this God as love.
When I received this infilling, this supernatural power from God on that day, I became infused with all that God is along with this pure, untainted, chaste, holy and divine, merciful love. I had to learn to appropriate this love, to come to the place to receive this love from Him --- minute by minute.
Not always easy, walking this Christian life and much suffering and agony comes with our faith.
But when we focus our attentions and intent on what God desires of us and we learn the necessary art of continuing to let go and allow Him to be who becomes manifested through our surrendering, His love is who others will see.
We live by faith in the unseen realm where God's presence becomes tangible evidence of His power, His ability and His mercy working out our flesh tendencies, crafting His image in ours, so we become carriers of His Heart touching the lives of those we meet in His most cherished love.
May we water others from God's love and truth who abides in us. May we as God's People, learn to pour fresh rain from the deep well of godly manna we receive -- into souls, letting them touch and taste of His rich deep love for them.
