Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Can’t you see for yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you actually fail the test? 2 Corinthians 13:5 NIV
I don’t believe that we need to test ourselves. The world with all it’s sin and evil will certainly test us. Our faith must be tested that we grow in Christ. Faith deepens as we grow in the Lord. As we release ourselves to His care, relying on Him rather than ourselves, He provides for us. Too often in times of trouble we tend to rely on self. But, who better than the Lord knows that which we need in times of trouble? Remember, if we had faith the size of a mustard seed, we could command mountains to move and plant themselves in the sea. Never underestimate the power of the Lord. With faith in Him, His power is released. Yes, we shall be tested. May we pass the test, and may our faith in Christ continue to grow.
