For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6 NIV
The light provided by the sun removes the darkness from the earth, but not all areas. The inside of a large cave or the bottom of an ocean does not receive light from the sun. The sun’s light is provided to the outside.
There is a different light. Christ said “I am the light of the world.” He is the light which penetrates everything. Nothing escapes the light of the Lord. But, do we allow the light provided by Christ to dwell within us? Does the light of Christ reside in our hearts? If we do allow His light to reside within us, then the knowledge of God’s glory is made known to us. We share the Good News which mankind so desperately needs to hear. We radiate the light of Christ within us. It is a light which is not meant to be covered up. The world needs to see the light of Christ. The true light will touch the open heart. Let’s allows Christ’s light to shine through us that others may seek Christ for their salvation.
