“Speaking first at this memorial service is James Reynolds, Sr.… Excuse me, that’s a misprint. I meant to say, James Reynolds, Jr.”
Everyone in the church gasped as they stared in disbelief. Murmurs went through the congregation, “Did he have a twin brother?”
His daughter started crying tears of joy. “Dad, I knew I’d see you in heaven, but now?”
With a smile that radiated pure joy, her dad walked up to her and gave her a long hug. She could feel the warmth as if wearing an electric blanket draped around her shoulders.
“My daughter, I love you, and I’m so proud of you. I’m so sorry for all the mistakes I made. But, you turned out great!”
Turning to his son, he expressed a powerful humility that was palpable. “My son, I love you, and I’m just as proud of you. Forgive me for the countless mistakes I made in raising you.”
Gazing at the crowd gathered, the honored man addressed everyone present.
“Life is so fleeting. Above all things, love each other with the power that comes from loving the Heavenly Father. Receive His unconditional love. It’s so unlike what most of you have experienced. Open your hearts to receive His resurrection love.”
