The eagle glides in the sky
Above the cliffs on high.
A lofty goal to be free,
Why can’t mankind see?
Toiling in an endless plight,
Unable to win the good fight,
Mired in the struggle below,
Like rats in a maze just for show.

There appears a body aloft,
Perched on a cloud so soft,
Freedom ablaze in his eyes,
Perfect peace the priceless prize.
A miracle from God’s hand,
A vision of the grandeur planned,
The hope of heaven fresh,
Raised from human flesh.
