Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:8-10 NIV
Love is the fulfillment of the law. God is love. Hate causes destruction and is quite costly, both monetarily and health-wise. It is harder to hate than to love. So why is the world so full of hate? It is because of sin. People are self-centered. It is hard to love when the focus is on me and not you. In learning to be faithful servants unto the Lord, we are freed from enslavement. We can then choose to do that which those who are enslaved to sin cannot, which is love. Love unconditionally. Love as Christ loves. We need the Holy Spirit within us, guiding us into sharing the kind of love which God means for us to have with our neighbor, and yes, even with our enemies. I don’t believe we on this earth shall ever fully understand the power which lies within love. Christ knows of this power. He showed it through dying on our behalf. See the power of love shown through our Lord. Let love flow through and from you. If we could do this as a people unbelievable power would be released.
