Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all. Romans 11:30-32 NIV
We all have been disobedient to God. We have all fallen short of glory, living a life full of sin. But God, in His mercy, has been patient. He waits for us to repent, to realize in our hearts that without Him we have nothing. God does know the heart of each of us. He knows those who will come to Him through the Son. In our disobedience God’s mercy is manifested. It is God’s nature to be merciful. He knows that which He has created. Yet He created us in His image. He yearns for a deep connection with each of us. Yet only the few will repent and come to Him through the Son. God truly does have mercy on each of us. If that were not so, surely would we die. Christ died for our sins. He was raised from death that through belief in Him we shall also be raised in glory to spend eternity with the Father and the Son.
