John chapter 2 describes Jesus attending a Jewish wedding in Cana of Galilee. Where the first of many miracles where performed. He's walked in Faith, Truth and, Justice, for us. Healing our lack of purpose and understanding right on time to keep our party going.
The text talks about people having so much fun, they run out of wine. Exhausting the wine supply during the party is embarrassing. Could you image hosting a wedding and running out of alcohol? People would say what a misguided host. This is a time of celebration, how can we party without food cake and something to drink. You wouldn’t be the toast of the party, but less than a fool, ripe for ridicule.
At this celebration, a savior was in attendance. The good hope, a promise was in attendance to keep the party moving forward. With hope, there’s no despair or anxiousness. With hope, there is always an opportunity for change to occur. With hope, our heart is not hardened and filled with doubt. Thank God!
Aren’t you glad in the times of your life, when the wine ran dry you held on to your hope? The hope someone would run to the store, buying drink or food, to extend the party?
Just as Jesus mother spoke to Him, “They have no more wine”. You can speak to Jesus asking to extend your hope, party, faith, love, remove doubt, lack and sorrow. Give it a try, just as Jesus turned water into wine, acting as the savior then. There is, He can solve problems, for He is the savior for us now.
