"One of the significant developments of the twentieth century is the political and military awakening of the Orient." .. John F. Walvoord, Past President - Dallas Theological Seminary
Like the Spanish, English and Americans before them, China is working its 30-year plan* to rule the waves and the world's markets to fully gain an economic empire upon which the sun will never set. It is interesting that China considers Christianity to be one of its major stumbling blocks along the road to realizing world dominance of global supply and demand.
Appearing to its global trading and economic partners as being tolerant and understanding of its own religious minorities is critical to cement its future with nations that have religious majority populations. To appear as being such while if fact destroying churches, shrines and temples within its borders is a huge challenge. With that in mind, China's Communist Party is in stage with a five-year plan to revamp and rewrite the wording and themes of the Bible to be "Party and Trading Partner" user-friendly to help foster the nation's reputation as being "tolerant of their religious populations".
Finding justification of faith in Jesus Christ to be too restrictive, their idea of "Chinese Christianity" would be more universalist and focused on justification by love of doing good works. New Testament commentaries would stress this as well to make Socialism seem to be more divine to the people and Communist Party Heroes as being worthy of Heaven by their good works for the Party.**
China is already well ahead on its 30-year plan to become the worlds leading Superpower and reached many natural resource agreements with many nations of Africa and the Middle East. Through either building, developing or financing many areas of economic expansion that will cement their power and ability to influence in the future, the path of the Chinese Communist Party is clear: build their military assets and presence in the east and Pacific and to fully control the world's markets.
It speaks well of Christianity that it is still a force to be contended with, and even for the sake of appearance, to be tolerated.
