TITLE: "FREE INDEED!"
SCRIPTURE: John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (KJV)
Good morning and joyous, joyous day! Greetings brothers and sisters in the glorious and matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ: Jesus cares and loves you and your family!
When, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his riveting “I Have a Dream” speech in Washington, D.C. on August 28, 1963. As he was closing his speech, he echoed; “Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!” Why are these last few words so important? They are important because it was never the Lord’s intention to have any man put into bondage by another man? We are only to be surrendered to God and God alone; coming under His authority. Man made slavery and church denominations; but, Jesus has come and redeemed us from man’s physical and spiritual bondage. As a result, we can freely serve Him!
In John 8:36 Jesus states, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (KJV) The word “indeed” is a firm and strong promise from Jesus. Also, Apostle Paul affirms this truth from Jesus in Galatians 5:1 stating, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” One of the things that could be considered a yoke of bondage in our American society is “racism”. The Lord wants to free our society of this evil deed that was inflicted upon the Blacks in this country. But, satan and his cohorts will not allow it as long as the people that are called by the name of Jesus Christ permit it; which is the church.
When the Lord allowed this country to be established; it should have been based upon freedom for all that would eventually come and inhabit this land. There is only one race; it is the human race; made in the image of God, not man. According to Acts 17:26 God, “Hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed and the bounds of their habitation.” Our bloodline is from one set of parents: Adam and Eve. Therefore, do not allow your freedom that is through Jesus Christ to become compromised by the ugly sin of racism. Live free, Think Free, Love freely, and Serve freely.
Know that your life is special with a divine destiny, meaning, and purpose from the Lord. Walk in your calling!
PRAYER:Heavenly Father, cleanse my heart from anything that is not like You. Especially, the residue of racism, that satan has tried to make as a stronghold in my heart. The devil wants to keep my life in bondage as a slave to sin with him. Help me to embrace the freedom that is from Jesus Christ in my heart. Set me FREE! Thank You Father for hearing and answering my prayer; in the Mighty, Powerful, and Matchless Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Bountiful Blessings to you today!
Minister Wanda Carr
