From an adult’s perspective, a toddler’s view is out of focus. But, at this age it is all about me and now. It is impossible for the toddler to see more than today. Her focus will clear as she matures.
As adults, we can become so fixated on certain events or people that we can’t see clearly. If we focus on the difficulty before us, our eyes will be off of Jesus. Peter began to sink when he took his eyes off of Jesus and looked at his problem. Matthew 14:22-33
If our focus is the Shepherd of our souls trusting him for today and tomorrow, he will give us clear vision. As we look to him, keeping our eyes on him during every interaction with people, in the middle of every daily chore, and in every crisis, he will impart his peace and wisdom. Jesus first thought.
Jesus second thought.
Jesus every thought.
Cloudy vision will clear, and our life will be in focus. Trusting God completely we will see clearly, and our hearts will be guarded by his peace.
Is your life out of focus? What or who might be skewing your vision? Keep your eyes on Jesus, and you will see clearly and be at peace.
Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”NKJV
