“Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.” (John 14:27 TEV)
Worry and fear are the worst enemies of success and development. The devil is using these evil tools to make people lose all hope and even end up their lives. Some dream big but are never able to make them real because of unnecessary worries over temporary problems and circumstances. It has become a common event in society to feel failed when they are unable to get any good results. Some of them take the worst step man can ever do: committing suicide.
I am not a stranger to disappointment and frustration. I can realize what it feels when you are discouraged because you failed in an interview, or because someone gave you a bad report. Plenty are the things that make us upset. And by experience I can tell you that we can never come out of such tragic experiences with our own strength and might. Nor can positive thinking books or success seminars help us out. Then, what is the way?
First of all you must realize that there is a God who created you and placed you in this world. His purpose, plan and intention concerning your existence is that you be bold and brave instead of fearing your problems. Problems are big before us but not so before God. If a deer wrestles with a wolf, the wolf will win. But if a wolf wrestles with a lion, the lion will win. Likewise, we need to accept that we are deer, our problems are wolves and God is the lion. When we (deer) fight our problems (wolves), we will fail miserably. But when we allow God (lion) to fight our problems (wolves), they will lose and triumph will be for us.
Jesus talked about peace knowing and understanding totally the crisis and problems mankind is facing. His peace does not eradicate man’s problems but instead fills in us a divine hope that God is in control, wisely handling our events and experiences. This peace cannot be gained or bought for a price, for it is extremely precious. God gives it freely to those who humble themselves before Him and ask for it. Seeing that man is unable to surmount his problems because of his limitations, the unlimited God took all man’s problems upon Himself and defeated all difficulties through His divine sacrifice.
Friend, have you ever felt that you need a friend who could give you this peace? If yes, let me tell you His name: JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH! “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV) Jesus Christ paid a huge price so that we can live in peace. He shed His blood and handed His body to be bruised and crucified. He did that for all of us, including you. Is there anything, any regrets or doubts that stop you from approaching this loving Lord? May the Lord open your hearts so that you can personally accept the love of God and receive His peace. May God help you.
