Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say I am?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “God’s Messiah.” Luke 9:18-20 NIV
Have you heard Christ ask you who you say He is? If not, I would be worried. Christ wants to truly know from each of us who we say He is. Is He your Savior, your Master, the One who sits on the throne at the core of your being?
Who is Jesus Christ to you? It is truly worth meditating on this question. What could be a more important question to answer than this one? Sometime take the time to sit and write down who Jesus Christ is to you. Really give it some thought. Let the Holy Spirit lead you to write the words that come to mind. Make sure the words are your words, inspired by the Spirit.
When you have done this, read it and read it again. Let it fill your soul. Then close your eyes…..see the face of Jesus as He comes to you….and from the inner most depths of your heart tell Jesus who He is to you! Be still and know that Christ is with you, and you have told Him who He is to you!
