when will I find my confidence in God alone?

Jacob was a great sprinter in life, for he was running around from people for a major part of his life, at first from his brother, then from his father, then from his uncle and father in law and finally once again when he was running back to his brother whom he had deceived earlier, I believe that with a heavy and fearful heart did Jacob send messengers before him to his brother saying....
And he commanded them, saying, “Speak thus to my lord Esau, ‘Thus your servant Jacob says:........" Genesis 32:4 (NJKV)
how will this running around end? when will this dependence on self power finish? when will I find my confidence in God alone?
Jacob after having done all his precautionary preparations to meet his brother was left alone in the brook of Jabbok and there he wrestled in prayer till God blessed him, gave him a new name and touched the socket of his hip so that the great sprinter could no longer run, but rather he limped.
Often God has to shrink some of muscles and stop our running around, so we may know the frailty of our ability and recognise that He who trusts in God will make it through not by his ability of running around, but by his privilege of waiting on the Lord.
Jacob was now happy and confident, for even though he could not run and had to limp, still he had the blessed assurance that God has changed him from being a Jacob (a supplanter or a deceiver) to Israel (a prince with God).
The Bible records a wonderful prayer of Jabez to be blessed when he prayed...
"And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested" 1 Chronicles 4:10 (NKJV)
his mother named him Jabez (which means pain) because she bore him with much pain.
yet when he prayed to the Lord, the Lord heard him and blessed him.
"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
Save me, and I shall be saved,
For You are my praise." Jeremiah 17:14 (NKJV)
Only when God heals us we will be healed, only when He saves us will we be saved, thus lets wait on Him, for He will surely deliver, He will surely heal.
