Don't Be Dreamless

Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace (the peace of His kingdom) at all time and in all ways [under all circumstances and conditions, whatever comes]. The Lord [be] with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16
I can remember as a young boy having so many dreams. I had a very active imagination as a child, and I remember some of those little imaginative worlds I created. Sometimes dreams are just not the right ones, and sometimes the right dream can become an unfulfilled dream. A dream becomes an unfulfilled dream when you donít take the inspired steps to make your dream a reality in your life. We all have dreams, but there is a difference between just having a dream and living a dream.
About four years ago I was stuck in a hard place, and my dream was dormant. I often felt stuck, unrewarded in everything that I did, and non-fulfilled. I had a good friend pray for me one day after church; he asked God to help me find His purpose in my life. A month later I was enrolled in Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. My dream wasnít entirely clear, but I took inspired steps toward it. My dream has never been entirely clear, but I continue to move forward to attract my dream into my life.
Going after your dream is a daily battle. Life situations and circumstances tend to get in the way, and if not checked they will rob you of your dream. Things like fear, doubt, lack of motivation, lack of confidence, and procrastination will rob you of your dream and leave you dream-less. When you have fear, doubt, and lack of confidence then you are going to procrastinate and not be motivated. Doubt and fear are powerful voices when unchecked.
The good news is that today is the day to seize your dream. You donít have to be dream-less. If you are confident that God has put your dream on your heart, today is the day to get moving. With God on your side you can do anything. Today is the day to stop listening to what other people say, to stop making excuses, and to stop talking yourself out of it. God has equipped you with everything that you need to accomplish your dream.
I have noticed several times over the years that when I am not pursuing my dream that I feel like nothing really matters. I begin to question why I have even been born. I begin to feel like there has to be more to life than I am experiencing now. The reason is that I have let my dream go to the wayside. I am out of alignment with my purpose. This happens often, so I have learned to catch it and make a change. Usually, when I catch myself in a lull and make a change, I end up being fired up again and start pushing toward my dream again.
You have to take positive steps in the right direction on a daily basis. Allow your faith to rise above the obstacles like doubt, fear, and procrastination. When you walk in confidence on a daily basis you will begin to see change, and you will begin to see your dream manifesting. Once you begin to see progress it is harder to give up. When you walk in confidence your thinking changes, the way you talk about your dream changes, and the way you take action toward your dream changes. You will begin to see your dream clearer, it will begin to take shape, and you will begin to see the things you desire showing up.
Today is the day to unpack your dream. Sure you think it is safer all tucked away where there is no fear of disappointment, the naysayers, and the accountability. Keeping your dream where it is safe does not serve any purpose. God gave you the dream for a reason, and if you donít unpack it your dream does you or anyone else any good. Unpack your dream; bring it into the light where it is intended to be. Donít let anything hold you back, walk in confidence, and donít even think about failing. God wouldnít have given you the dream if he didnít think you could do it. If you donít achieve your dream someone is missing out.
Make your mind up that it is your time. Itís your time to make your dream happen, itís your time to believe in yourself, and itís your time to shine. Make your dream manageable by breaking it up into steps. Write it down on paper, and create short-term and long-term steps that put you in alignment with achieving your dream. When you make your dream manageable you will find that you are more focused, inspired, and motivated. The big picture may seem impossible, but when you break it down and start taking steps there is a big difference.
Itís time to get your dream out of your head and into your hands. Today is your time, not tomorrow, not next week, not next month, or next year. Take one step today, and then continue taking steps until your dream becomes a reality. Refuse to let what happened yesterday effect what you do today. Donít be dreamless-You are a conqueror! #gogetit
