Entering the Promise Land

When we or a loved one is diagnosed with cancer we really only have two options; we can get down, depressed, and give up on life, or we can prepare for battle and go to war.
Passion - My Heart Is Yours (Live) ft. Kristian Stanfill https://youtu.be/qBI4WDfRh6E
If you remember the account of Joshua and Caleb found in Numbers 13:1-33. God had promised Abraham that there would be a Promised Land for the nations to come out of his son, Isaac. The land of Canaan which the spies were to explore was the same Promised Land. When ten of the twelve spies showed little faith in the doom and gloom report they gave about the land, they were slandering what they believed God had promised them. They did not believe that God could help them, and the people as a whole were persuaded that it was not possible to take the land. As a result, the entire nation was made to wander in the desert for 40 years, until almost the entire generation of men had died. Joshua and Caleb were the two spies who brought back a good report and believed that God would help them succeed. They were the only men from their generation permitted to go into the Promised Land after the time of wandering.
So, what did God promise us that we MUST believe in? That answer for us is found in Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”; and we believe this with every fiber of our being. So we have headed into each of these battles, not as cowards expecting to lose, but as mighty warriors for our God, knowing that by ourselves we may be no match for this dreadful disease, but we have never went to battle alone. In fact, as these pictures show, we have simply trusted God with the outcome, and lived life the way Jesus wants us to, lived it abundantly. (John 10:10)
So friends, Janice and I are here to report, THERE IS VICTORY IN JESUS! Now the question is, whose report will you believe? As for us, we plan to enter that Promise Land one day, and want to do it knowing that we gave God everything we had. Despite what some may think, our lives are blessed beyond measure. This cancer is but a season in our lives, and we WILL look back on this one day in amazement at what the Lord has done!
From my heart to yours!
