We shall steer safely through every storm, so long as our heart is right, our intention fervent, our courage steadfast, and our trust fixed on God. St. Francis De Sales
One Sonic Society - Never Once https://youtu.be/IbAk1WxdSXI
This morning I have been reviewing my Facebook timeline. For me, this has pretty much been a diary of our lives since joining Facebook 12/26/2008. So many highs and lows; so many setbacks, yet so many victories. I guess that is just how life goes. But one thing that has remained consistent is our faith in God. We were praising our God before this cancer came, and we will continue until the day God rids my precious Angel of this awful disease once and for all. What I found interesting was the scripture and message God spoke to me the morning we took Janice to her doctors appointment.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
Loss of a loved one, thoughts of suicide, drugs, alcohol, depression, divorce and the tragic list goes on; these are all very difficult circumstances to deal with and we should NEVER try to overcome ANY of these on our own. I have personally experienced ALL of the above and I can tell you there is hope, and it comes the moment we CRY OUT TO JESUS!

You see, each day when I post a message it is for someone. Many times it was for me, and I just put it out there in the event it may help someone else. Little did I know at the time, that He was reminding me of those times that He had been there for me in my hour of need, and helped me to overcome EVERY tragic situation I had ever been in. So when we got the news later that day, My heart was prepared, and knew EXACTLY how we were going to come through this and EVERY challenge we will ever face. Here is a reminder from the day this battle began.

Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. Psalm 28:6-7
I know many of you have been wondering what has been going on with my wife. I really didn't want to post anything until we knew exactly what we were dealing with. This Tuesday she was told by her doctor that she has cervical cancer and set her up to see an Oncologist. Before we went to bed that night she told me that she was scared and I assured her that our God is faithful and He would take care of her. Around 4 am she woke up and crawled up in my arms and I just held her while I talked to Jesus. While I was holding her I felt Jesus wrap His arms around us both and the Holy Spirit assured me everything would be ok. I spent extensive time in God's presence yesterday just praising Him in advance for assuring me He had things under control. Today we went to the doctor and he seemed to confirm what I already knew; that her outlook is promising. The cancer is in the early stages and on Oct. 31st she will have a Radical Hysterectomy which will remove the cancer. Please continue to pray for us as we enter this season of trial and specifically pray for Dr. D. Paul Seago as he performs her surgery. No matter if God decides to heal her before the surgery or if He decides to heal her through the doctors care; I have no doubt our God has things under control because HE IS JEHOVAH RAPHA - THE LORD OUR HEALER!

Just in case anyone is counting, today makes it 1245 days or 3 years, 4 months, 26 days since we got that tragic news. But guess what? We are still here, still fighting, still proclaiming we WILL emerge in VICTORY. Because we KNOW that the day will come when we will be able to sing:
Standing on this mountaintop
Looking just how far we’ve come
Knowing that for every step
You were with us
Kneeling on this battle ground
Seeing just how much You’ve done
Knowing every victory
Was Your power in us
Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
So today, if you find yourself, like us, in the midst of life's struggles, join us and proclaim the victory God will surely bring us, His children. If there is one thing He has proven over and over in our lives, HE IS FAITHFUL!!!!!
From my heart to yours!
