WHEN YOU SEE JESUS, HEART BURNS

Luke 24:32 – “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”
We have to see Jesus when we read the Bible. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is all about Jesus. The more we see Jesus, the more revelation hits our heart and our heart burns when Jesus is revealed in the Scriptures. Everything we do in our life should bring glory to God and the only way to bring glory to God is by focusing and keeping our eyes on Jesus in all the things we do. God has placed us in Christ Jesus, whom He has exalted to the highest place in the Universe. God sees the perfection of Jesus in us; therefore, we have to see the same way as how God sees us. In other words, we have to be Jesus-conscious rather than being self-conscious.
On the road to Emmaus, two of the disciples were talking about the things that happened to Jesus. As they were conversing, Jesus Himself drew near and went with them, but their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him. Jesus asked them what are you discussing about and are sad. They said to Him about the things concerning Jesus of Nazareth and how the chief priests and rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. They also told that a certain woman astonished us, on the third day that Jesus had risen, and some of them who were with us went to the tomb and found that what she told was true.
These two disciples could not believe and they were greatly surprised that Jesus had risen. Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! (Luke 24:25.) Then, Jesus started revealing Himself beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, and He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. Jesus wanted them to see Him through the Scriptures and that is the reason, He restrained their eyes.
God expects us to develop our faith by studying the Word of God and to hear the Scriptures that talk about Jesus. God wants us to believe the Scriptures that talk about Jesus’ finished works and walk in that revelation rather than expecting Jesus to appear to us. When you read the Word of God with anointing and see Jesus in the Scriptures, your heart burns within you. This was what happened, when Jesus revealed Himself to those two disciples on the road to Emmaus, their heart burned within them. They said to one another in Luke 24:32 – “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” The word “Emmaus” means warm bath and the anointing within us is the warm bath.
When does your heart burn? When you diligently heed the Word of God, when you give yourself to the Word of God, when you are thirsty for the Word of God, when you dedicate yourself to the Word of God, and when you receive the revelation, your heart burns within you. When your heart gets stirred up by seeing Jesus in the Word, it affects your physical body, your surroundings, and your entire life. This is the reason the Word of God is so precious and powerful that we have to spend time in studying the Bible.
Jesus said to two disciples “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe…” Two points to be noted in this verse that we can learn from. The word “foolish” refers here as the lack of knowledge and the revelation from the Word of God. The second point “slow of heart to believe” refers even though we have the knowledge of the Word, we are slow to believe and act. We should not only believe, but be quick to believe the Word. The only solution for this is we have to spend more time on the Word of God.
THE MORE YOU SEE JESUS AND THE MORE YOU GET THE REVELATION OF WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST, YOUR HEART BURNS AND YOU WILL SEE THE PERFECTION OF JESUS IN YOU AND WILL LIVE A RIGHTEOUS LIFE! AMEN
