Looking in the mirror I don't like what I see
false ego, pride and shame, my own humility
has me isolated alone where he wants me to be
in this familiar place he'll be shown his destiny.

I don't believe his lie saying, "God is not near,
there's no use in praying, where you're at He doesn't hear,
but he.saw as I was praying it wasn't him I revere
and he left empty handed the night he drew near

Saying, I own this man!" As he stood by my feet
Uncompassionately sure his prediction complete
as he watched me sitting naked and frozen in my seat
yet when morning broke he realized he'd been beat

Than night Satan you only proved, you lie
and I don't mind being here where I cry
because my faith in Jesus proves what you deny
allow me to introduce you to He you push me to defy.
