On all who confess, God’s mercy pours
Strength and courage for our inner wars
Changing the hardened, He gently restores
Lives of the lost as He opens doors

Sick and broken, God’s compassion heals
Wounds of a lifetime, softly He peels
Flaws in our character, He gently reveals
Patient kindness when our darkness feels

Unbearably much, God grants us peace
In patient long suffering we learn to release
Our wrongs, He rights, smoothing each crease
In our hearts, may His love, never cease.

Hold on parched soul, your drought will end
The pain, the tears, all that makes you bend
Down on Your knees, your prayers will mend
Unimaginable things with Jesus as your friend.
