Being Aware of it

I would like to continue with the Topic of “The Conscience”, and go deeper into understanding how we are AWARE of things and UNAWARE of things—especially OUR CONSCIENCE.

The Recap

We established that we all have a Conscience and its part of our human spirit (Romans 2:14-15).

Paul said we Gentiles know things spiritually (The Law) or Word of God and the righteous principles we should live by through our Conscience bearing witness to our minds (Romans 2:14-15).

Paul said we are Conscious of Our Conscience even though we were not Born-again or not having been taught the Word of God (Romans 2:14-15).

We also know that we are human beings and that we have been built with;

1. A Human spirit—where Our Conscience is.
2. We have a Soul—where Our Mind and Emotions operates
3. And we live in a Human Body—where we hear, smell, see, taste and touch things physically.

The Purpose of me repeating things is to bring us to remember who we are and how we operate as Human Beings.

What is Happening Today?

It seems that today people are walking around as though they don’t have a Conscience or a heart to do good things for themselves or for others. It’s not a surprise because Paul spoke about this when he wrote a letter to Timothy.

Paul said, the Holy Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose Consciences have been seared as with a hot iron (1 Timothy 4:1-2 NIV).

The teachings that Paul was referring too are; 1. Forbidding people to be married and 2.To abstain from certain foods (1Timothy 4:3). Paul had to tell Timothy what false teachers of his day were saying that was ridiculous and not in-line with what Jesus or he taught. They tried to teach self-discipline and righteous behavior outside of the topic of grace and faith in Jesus Christ. Paul called it doctrine of demons. Gentiles ate all kinds of meat. Jews had a strict diet imposed by God through Moses in the Old Testament.

However, Paul said we can eat any kind of meat as long as it’s sanctified by faith and prayer (1Timothy 4:3-5). But the point I want to focus on is the Conscience that’s seared with a hot iron by false teaching. What do you mean Manuel?

Burn-Out 101

Drugs and Alcohol or prescription drugs are not the only things that will make us numb or burnt-out spiritually and mentally. False teaching and enough of it will do the trick. We will be mindless robots to public opinions and cliché’s that takes us away from the truth of God’s Word if we listen to it and begin living by the worlds system.

Paul and Jesus taught clearly about the concepts of marriage (See Matthew Chapter 5 and 19; 1 Corinthians 7 the entire chapter). So forbidding to be married to be holy is false teaching. Even if you become a priest you can still marry someone (Read the book of Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers in the Old Testament.) God allowed all priests to be married.

When we don’t read the Bible ourselves and capture the truth written in God’s word we will be duped into thinking that what this Pastor, Priest or Bishop is saying is true. He should know he went to Bible College. Well let me share the Word of God with you. Paul said we are study to show ourselves approved to God rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Paul also commended the men of Berea that they were more noble than the men of Thessalonica because whatever Paul said they search the scriptures daily to see if what Paul was saying is actually true (Acts 17:10-11).

The Conscience being seared

If we don’t pick up the Bible and begin to read it for ourselves and begin to judge and measure what today’s ministers are saying with what Paul, Jesus or any other bible character already said in scripture we will accept false teaching and believe what is being taught is right. Then little by little OUR CONSCIENCE will be seared.

This is why we have so many denominations. In the Christian world alone there are over 250 denominations. A denomination is an organization like Pentecostal, Baptist, Seven-Day-Adventist, Catholics, and Protestants just to name 5 of them. So what is the difference?

The difference is that some organizations know more about a particular topic than the other based on that Pastor’s upbringing and biblical education. Then they have a Board of Air head directors that won’t even try to consider fellowshipping with another organization because they either don’t believe in the topic of healing, Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, or miracles, signs and wonders.

Some don’t believe in Dreams and Visions. They say it’s the devil that’s doing it without giving you a clear biblical teaching on a specific topic they don’t believe in. This is why there is so much division in the Christian world.

I studied scripture like the prophet Daniel did by Prayer and Fasting for 20 years (See Daniel chapter 9-10). Daniel studied the book of Jeremiah to gain divine revelation from it and to come to understand the time-line by which the Prophet Jeremiah predicted Israel’s release from captivity. Gabriel the Arch Angel appeared to Daniel and granted him revelation about Israel’s future.

My point is that unless we scripturally apply the Word of God as Paul, Jesus, Daniel and all the rest of the men of God in scripture applied it we will accept the opinions of men and fall a victim to false teachings and we may end-up with a Conscience that’s seared with a hot iron. Then when the truth of God’s word is preached by a powerful minister we won’t be open and receptive to what the Holy Spirit is trying to do in our lives because we don’t want to believe in Dreams, Visions, Healing, Miracles or any other supernatural teaching that’s clearly taught.

Our Calling is too…

We are all called to study ourselves, dig into the Word of God Meditate day and night about it and the revelation we receive we are held responsible by God to apply it.(See Joshua 1:8/ 2 Timothy 2:15/ Acts 17:10-11). When we do God will begin granting you more insight about scripture and how to go about living a Christian lifestyle without being religiously brain-washed by some organization that doesn’t believe in the topic that you came to experience first-hand.

For example, no one can tell me Dreams and Visions don’t work today. Because I experienced them and everything scripture teaches about them. Later on I was led to dig the topic out and I’ve been sharing it ever since as a Bible teacher. After I shared it--many were impacted by it and now God is communicating with them thru the avenue of Dreams and Visions.

This is how it’s suppose to be No division or false teaching just clear-cut rightly interpreted powerful teaching that’s going to build a believer to be Consciously sensitive to God’s biblical method of communication. So don’t allow false teaching to come into your life. Combat it by reading the Word of God. Your Conscience will Love you for it.
