“You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill be with joy in your presence” (Psalm 16:11, NIV)
It is so easy to move away from the love and joy that we experience with Christ. The challenges of life overtake us and it seems we lose our first love. The truth is that God never moves; he always there for us, ready to listen and hear our call. In fact, Hebrews 13:5 assures us that God never leaves us nor forsakes us. Again and again, we lose our focus and stop trusting and depending totally on God for all we need. It is easy to get side-tracked with our thoughts becoming consumed by the pressing issues of life.
In all of this, God knows the path for our lives, so let us look to him for direction every day. Let us move pass our feelings of frustration and commit ourselves to take God at his Word. Take the step to walk in his presence. This will shed fresh and glorious light on our path as God guides us. When we allow him to direct our steps, we experience the fullness of his presence. Let us commit ourselves to meditate on his Word continually to draw the strength we need from his divine power.
Prayer: Our Father, thank you that you are always with us to love and fill us with your joy. Help us to keep our focus on you in whatever the situation we face. We move forward confident that you are guidin our steps. We pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Today is the day to walk in God’s presence and be filled with the joy of his love.
