Have you ever stop to consider
What if Jesus had something else to do?
His schedule proved to be too busy to take the time
To live and die for me and you.
I’m sure there was a million other things
That He could have chosen to do that day.
There might have been a friend to visit
Or a golf game He wanted to play.
What if He thought the day was so pretty
He decided to spend it at the lake?
Instead of living and dying for us
Would be the decision He would make.
Even though He was God’s Son
He was also a Man with free will.
Which means He made the ultimate decision
To die on Calvary’s Hill.
He could have called ten thousand angels
To come and take Him away.
Yet He chose to bear our sins and persecution
On Calvary’s cross that day.
And how do you repay His ultimate sacrifice
When His life blood was spent?
How often do you stop and praise Him?
Is it only when it’s convenient?
Christ doesn’t ask much of us
For all He went through.
He’d just like you to go out of your way to say,
“Jesus, I just want to spend some time with you.”

Oh I shudder to think where I'd be if Jesus had not taken the time to think of me. Beautiful poem!
