Poetry
Take the bold and brassy cup.
If it's dirty, clean it up!
If it's empty, praise the Lord.
Let the wine be fully poured.
Full cups won't take anything else.
for they are so full of self.
These are full of perceived need,
lest their pride has been leaked.
Become a fool to become wise.
Become blind and gain new eyes.
Cups for honor were once ashamed.
Then made ready for the good Name.
Think you're something when you're less,
unless your sin has been addressed.
A cup that's empty is full of potential.
Weak to be strong, when it's torrential.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:3
"Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise." - 1 Corinthians 3:18
"Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?
What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory," - Romans 9:21-23
"For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;..." - 2 Corinthians 4:6-8
"Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: 'The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.' But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work." - 2 Timothy 2:19-21
