Are you a follower? If someone is organizing an event or activity, are you quick to voice approval with count me in? Your response is music to the ears of the person who extended the invitation. The answer brings encouragement and motivation to complete the plans.
Jesus ministered through others as well as by personal contact. He chose twelve disciples to work under His authority in preparation for carrying on His work after He returned to the Father. Two of John the Baptist’s disciples followed Jesus.
“One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, ‘We have found the Messiah’ (which is translated, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus (John 1:40-42a NKJ).” Jesus could place His confidence in Andrew. Picture him waving his hand saying, Count me in!
