SUFFICIENT UNTO THE DAY.....

Matthew 7:34

2009 is coming to a close and I have been venturing down memory lane and would like to share some thoughts that have come to me. Perhaps you too have wondered about these.

I am so glad I do not know what tomorrow brings. I am trusting in the one that does know, remembering I am his child and he loves and watches over me no matter what comes.

Had I known what the future held for me I realize it would have probably paralyzed me with fear. With every season of my life and every incident (good or bad) God has given me what I needed at the time.

What a merciful God we serve to protect us from or see us through everything that happens in our lives. In my lifetime I experienced the results of the 1929 crash on Wall Street, unemployment, and food lines. I remember specifically where I was when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941. My older brother joined the Navy the following day and was thrust into a war at age 17. Please understand, I know millions of young men his age joined the armed services and some gave their lives to protect the USA and all our freedoms. I am sure many others could share similar stories.

If we all knew every detail of operations of our Military and Government; if we all knew what was coming, i.e., The Twin Towers attack, the war in Iraq.....just look around you at what is happening in the world system and thank Almighty God for not giving us this information ahead of time.

The above is thinking from the world standpoint. From the spiritual standpoint, God did give warnings to the ones that should have heeded what he said, but some thought 'this could never happen to us'...some were protected by God and did not even know it was HIM.

As we watch the multiple ministries that are broadcasting the Word of God around the world, i.e., CBN on the east coast, Kenneth Hagin and Oral Roberts in the middle of the nation and TBN on the west coast with many branches sprouting from each of the ministries. Of course you are aware that K Hagin and O Roberts have gone home, but we can rest assured that others will pick up the message to get it to the people. I hear reports daily of lives in Africa, India, China, Russia and Muslims are coming to the Jesus by the thousands but the main news media does not carry these stories. I do not want to leave any nation out of the loop because God gave his son so no one would perish. The choice is there for all; man chooses whether to accept or reject.

Dear Christian brothers and sisters: if you find yourself worrying or feeling a bit of despair, change your focus of thinking to our Father God who knows all and has the power to control any situation that comes Thank HIM for protecting us from the full disclosure of what the future brings. Thank Him for the wonderful, anointed ministers of the gospel that have taught us and brought us to more maturity in HIM.

Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts with you.

Thank you so much for these words of encouragement. I needed this today. I often wish that I could see God's plan for my life- but you are right... If I could forsee all that he had for me- I would be paralyzed in fear. Glory to God that He knows what is best for us and keeps us protected underneath his wings. Thanks again for your faithfullness in your writing. God bless your New Year!

Thank you Connie, for wonderful words of wisdom. How true it is that because God knows what is best for us and tells us to worry not about tomorrow, (Matthew 6:35) He reveals to us only what we need to know for today. What an awesome and gracious God we serve. Be abundantly blessed in 2010!
