Prophecy
Why Was Man Created
And What Is His Fate?
By Leo Holley
As people go to work and children go to School each and every day, there is one thing that everyone looks forward to and that is a day off from their daily activities. This is good because everyone needs time off from school or work because their mind and the body needs time to be refreshed and to re-adjust it’s self. People take vacations so they can get away from the daily routine and enjoy other things even if it is but just a short period of time.
Certain days have been set aside for specific observances and recognition and this gives us a few more days to relax and enjoy them with our families. We look forward to those days because we can take time to relax and do things that we may not be able to do when we have to work or go to school. We all look forward to Saturday, Sunday, Christmas, Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day and many more so we can have a day off with the family. It is also true that some of those days have more meaning to individuals than others. But what is the truth behind some of the days that are being observed? We want to examine those days and what the meanings of them really are.
A PLAN FOR MAN
It is not by accident that Man (and woman) were created or put here on this Earth. There is a reason for man being here and it is a plan and a design that has been set in motion since the beginning of time. God, our Creator had a plan and to help in accomplishing that plan He had to have subjects so He created Angles. He created them as His helpers and messengers in the beginning. They were created a special breed of beings in that they were Spirit in Nature. Although they could appear or disappear at will, God used them for a specific purpose. They were to be His messengers going too and fro in the Universe and the Earth.
GOD AND THE GREAT REVELATION CONCERNING
HIS PLAN FOR MAN
God and His Great Revelation and by His word, the Bible, He has revealed many important things to and for His people. One very important point of information is in Genesis. But first we need to look at 2nd Peter Ch.3 Verse 8: where it tells us that a day with God represents a Thousand years and a Thousand years represents a day, in Prophecy.
In Geneses when God, not created, but re-established the Heavens and the Earth and when He rested on the 7th day, has a big significance in the plan of God. God re-established the Heavens and the Earth of all its decaying state in that time frame, although the creation occurred many years before.
What does all of this have to do with the people of God? It has everything to do with what happened in the past and what is going to happen in the near future.
In Geneses when God re-established all things in the 6 days and He rested on the Seventh, was a special time period. But it also represented something else that is very important for our understanding. When God worked in those six days it was a reminder that we as humans can work six days as He did foe an example. When He finished His work He then rested on the seventh day. God Hallowed that day, He made that day Holy Time. God created that Holy Day, the Sabbath by resting on it. Not just any day but the seventh day of the week.
Now we see where God established a complete week of 7 days in this time frame. But as we have seen in 2nd peter that a day represents a thousand years, so this period of a week represents seven thousand years of time also. Just as God allows man 6 days to work and do his (mans) thing and He gives man the seventh day to rest from all his work and to refresh himself, so God does the same in this seven thousand year plan. God gives man six thousand years for man to do his bid and the last thousand years will be a time of a Sabbath rest, the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ on this Earth. Yes, there is a true way, a true Church or body of people of God, Church Of God. The good news is that all individuals who have been born will have the opportunity to be in Gods Kingdom, no matter who they are. There will be more than one resurrection. Those who have lived in the past and those who live now will have or will have had the same opportunity, no matter who it is. God is a just God and he will not doom anyone to a forever burning hell fire. You will either inherit eternal life or you will inherit eternal death. It will be the choice of an individual for them to make. God said that He would put before us a choice of eternal life and eternal death and then He said to choose one. The teaching that one will burn in Hell forever and ever is not the truth.
WILL ONE BURN IN HELL FOREVER?
There is so much that is being taught from the Bible that is not the complete truth. When individuals go to Church they go expecting to get the truth from their Minister, but are they? Are individuals getting what God wants them to know as His truth? It is the responsibility of an individual to determine if what is being taught in Church is true or is false. It is one’s responsibility to search the scriptures and to check them to see if what one is teaching is the truth.
It’s true some go to church because they believe that is what is expected of them to become a Christian. But there is more to it than just going to Church every time the door opens. It is their responsibility to make sure what is being taught by the Minister is correct. Most individuals who go to Church are going because of tradition, family tradition. It is mostly because their family belonged to a certain Church and as they were raised in that Church, they believe they are obligated to go to that Church.
It is understood throughout Christianity that Jesus Christ is the only way to obtain Salvation, or Eternal Life. That He gave His life for us for that purpose and this is true. But to be told that all one has to do is to believe in Jesus Christ and they will be saved is not all there is to making it into the Kingdom of God. Satan believes and well he knows that Jesus is the Son of God and he will not be in Gods Kingdom.
Jesus made the statement in Matt. Ch 4: verse 4;
4: “But He answered and said, it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God”.
Jesus said that ALL scripture is given for inspiration. Without using all scripture His Word cannot be understood.
In Matt. Ch 7: verses 22, 23:
22: “Jesus said: “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? And in your name cast out demons? And in your name done many wonderful works?
23: “Then I (Jesus) will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you workers of iniquity.
The individuals being described here believed they were doing right in Gods eyes, but were they? It was not the fault of the people, but it was the fault of the ministers because of what the people had been taught. People were not getting the whole truth.
One of the non truths that are taught in Churches is something they use to frighten people. That is the teaching of an ever burning hell fire.
What I want to do is explain the truth about an ever burning Hell fire and what the Bible really has to say about that. Is God a God of good or is He a mean being with everlasting torture in His heart. Will He, when a good mother goes to Heaven and her son may not have made it to Gods Kingdom, letting him go to Hell, let her watch her son burn in hell for ever and ever? I believe this deserves an answer that is in your Bible and that the truth may be revealed to you.
John 3: 16; states “For God so loved the World that He gave His only
Begotten Son, that whosoever believed in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Please notice the word “perish” in this scripture. In the Webster’s New Collage Dictionary the word “perish” is as – to come to nothing, to be destroyed, to-non-exist.
The Bible is very clear that the wicked do not suffer in a burning hell fire forever. On the contrary, it says that they will perish. Those who sin will be burn up and are ashes and will be trodden upon by the feet of the Saints; those individuals will seize to exist.
In Romans 6:23; we see that “The wages of sin is death”
The wages of sin is death, eternal death, not eternal life in a burning hell fire, forever and ever. God said that He would grant us one of two things in life. He would give us the capability of obtaining eternal life, living life eternal with Him or eternal death, being put to death in hell fire, Seizing to exist forever. And He goes on to say that He hoped we would choose life, Eternal Life. It would be our choice to make.
Notice Psalm 37: 9-11, 20;
9; “For evil doers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the Earth.”
10: “For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
11; “But the meek shall inherit the Earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.”
20; “But the wicked shall perish; (be completely destroyed, seize to exist) and the enemies of the Lord, like the spender of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away.”
God is not a God of eternal torture; He is a God of Love AND Compassion, even on the wicked. But Satan wants one to believe otherwise.
Psalm 68:2; also states-
Verse 2; “As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God
Now Psalm 104: 35; -
35; “May sinners be consumed from the Earth, and the wicked be no more.”
David knew the fate of the wicked. He knew they would burn up. Be gone forever.
The following verses could not be any plainer.
Malachi 4: 1-3; -
1; “For behold, the day is coming, it will burn like an oven, and all the Proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up, says the Lord of host that will leave them neither root nor branch.”
Notice how the statement is “will burn them up not burn them forever.
2; “But to them who fear my name the Son of righteneous shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall grow up and grow fat like stall-fed calves.”
This is speaking of the ones who will inherit “Eternal Life” on this Earth.
3; “You (the saints) shall trample the Wicked, for they shall be“Ashes” under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this, says the Lord of Host.”
Yes, the Saints will walk on the ashes of the wicked. How can one get to be “Ashes” except something burn up? You can’t come to ashes if you burn forever and ever.
Yes, Malachi makes it extremely clear. The wicked will be stubble. They will be ashes under the soles of the feet of the righteous.
Psalm 145:20: -
Verse 20; “The Lord preserves all who love Him, but the wicked he will destroy.
We have seen what the Old Testament has to say about Hell, not let us go to the New Testament.
Again to John 3:16; -
Verse 16; “For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”.
Now to Romans 6:23; -
Verse 23; “For the wages of sin is death, (eternal death) but the gift of God is Eternal Life in Christ our Lord.”
The punishment for sin is death eternal, not eternal life in a burning hell forever.
Now 2Peter 3:10; -
Verse 10; “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in the which the Heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the Earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.”
Notice the judgment on both the just and the unjust when Jesus Christ returns.
Matthew 13; 36-43, 49-50; -
36; “Then Jesus left the Multitude and went into the house and His Disciples came to Him, saying, explain the parable of the tares of the Field.”
37; “He answered and said to them: He who sows the good seed is the Son of man.” (The good seed are the ones of God)
Verse 38; “The field is the World, the good seed are the Sons of the Kingdom, but the tares (those who do wickedly) are the sons of the wicked one.”
Verse 39; “The enemy who sowed them is the Devil, the harvest is the end of the age and the reapers are the Angles.”
40; “Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.”
In these passages of Scripture the tares represent those who do not follow God and His ways. And because they do not they will be put to death, eternal death.
41; “The Son of man will send out His Angles and they will gather out of His Kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness”.
42; “And will cast them into the furnace of fire... There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth”.
43; “Then the righteous will shine as the Sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, Let him hear
49;“So it will be at the end of the Age. The Angles will come fourth; separate the wicked from among the just”.
50; “and cast them into the Furnace of Fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth”.
But the question may come up, what about Lazarus and the Rich man? Doesn’t it state that the Rich Man goes to Hell and is tormented for ever? Let us take a look at this.
Jesus said---There was a very rich man.
Then there really was a certain rich man! Jesus said definitely that this particular rich man “was clothed in purple and fine linen , and faired sumptuously every day.”
He really lived in Luxury and splendor! (Luke 16: 7 :)
Also, Jesus said,
20; 21; “At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus ,covered with sores, and longing to eat what fell from the Rich mans table.: Moreover the dogs came over and licked his sores”.
Yes, there were many such beggars in Palestine when Jesus lived there.
What happened?
Next Jesus described what happened to them.
22; “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the Angles into Abrahams Bosom: The Rich man died and was buried”.
They both died.
That is what Jesus said. Jesus did not say the beggar went to Heaven.
He said he was carried to Abraham’s bosom”.
Now what exactly is a Bosom? If you can find what a “bosom” is, and in this case Abraham’s bosom you will know where the beggar was taken.
The dictionary states that a “Bosom” is the breast of a human being. With the arms as an enclosure; a loving embrace by arms of one person about another; an intimate relationship.
So Lazarus was carried into an intimate relationship with Abraham.
Lazarus here is pictured as a Gentile, who received salvation. Do Gentiles, upon being converted and becoming Christ’s; enter into any intimate relationship to Abraham? They certainly do! The Gentile-born Galatians, the Scriptures written by Paul say definitely:
Gal.Ch. 3:
29; “And if you be Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed (children), and heirs according to the promise”.
Thru Christ they become the children of Abraham. Thru faith we all become “the children of Abraham” That is an intimate relationship with Abraham, taken in Abraham’s bosom!
Now Abraham is an Heir of God. God gave Abraham a promise. Notice (Gal.3: 29) those who thru Christ become Abraham’s children are heirs—but heirs according to the promise made to Abraham!
The promise was not Heaven.
Now what did God promise Abraham? To what promise was this beggar not an heir? Did God promise Abraham and his children Heaven?
Let us not put any interpretation upon the sacred Word of God. No scripture is of any private interpretation it is interpreted by other Scriptures.
To see what God promised
7; And the Eternal appeared unto Abram, and said, unto thy seed I give this land”.
The land of Canaan is called Palestine today. It is on this earth, not up in heaven. This beggar thru Christ became “Abraham’s seed,”—in the intimate relationship as one of Abraham’s children. Then God included this beggar when He said,
“Unto thy seed will I give this Land”.
Now concerning Lazarus and the rich man, when both died, both had a different fate facing them. Lazarus, when he was alive he followed Gods ways. When he died he was preserved in the grave until the Resurrection. At that time he will inherit the Kingdom of God. The rich man also died and he to was buried, waiting on the resurrection. But his fate when that time comes will be facing hell fire. All who are in the grave, both the just and the unjust will be there until Jesus Christ returns.
David knew this for he asked God to remember him in the Grave. He knew he would not enter the Kingdom of God until the resurrection.
Yes, there is a real Hell Fire and no, no one will burn forever in this fire. As stated before, God is a just and a good and loving God, not one that will torment an Individual forever and ever in an eternal burning fire. He will serve justice in a manner that will not be inhuman. He is a loving God and He will treat individuals as such. The wicked receive eternal damnation and the righteous Eternal Life.
What has been given here is some of the Biblical truth and has been given in love and concern. This is not to down play any religious organization or Church, but it is to inform one that there is more to scripture than is being taught in those organizations.
