Poetry
We must get rid of all,
That is slowing us down;
Anything we appall,
Or that could make us drown.
Especially the sin,
That will try to distract;
And corrupts within,
That Satan forms a pact.
We run the race that lies,
Just ahead and not quit;
Look straight with our eyes,
So we do not forfeit.
We must focus on Christ,
The source and our goal;
But faith not be enticed,
Making us lose control.
Christ saw the joy ahead,
Endured death on the cross;
Even though He had bled,
In a land of chaos.
So ignore the disgrace,
That was brought onto Him;
Think of the sweet embrace,
Where it will not be grim.
