Wow, wow, wow.
Thank you judges for the recognition from among so many great stories and fellow writers for all of the wonderful comments.
This just blows my mind. I always enjoy the challenge, but I'm not supposed to win. Not in my mind, not with so many great writers here.
I will leave a small nugget for those who may not be aware of it. Latch onto a 'writing buddy'. In the past I have consistently made punctuation and grammar mistakes that I didn't catch before submitting my story into the Challenge.
It wasn't until Dub made the statement that he had a writing buddy that I realized I didn't have to shoot myself in the foot any more because, as he put it, "I cannot see my own mistakes." And if Dub, who teaches this stuff, feels he should have a writing buddy then I know for a fact I better get one.
The beauty is that while more of missed mistakes are being caught I am learning how to write better in the process. Thank you, Joanne! you are a wonderful person. I couldn't have done it without your eagle eyes finding the mistakes and then teaching me what makes it a mistake.
Don't you just love Faith Writers?
