Jan Ackerson is not only an incredibly gifted writing teacher and editor, she is also an amazing writer in her own right. We are happy to announce the release of her first book, Stolen Postcards.
This book is unlike anything I've seen before. 366 days of stories--all 100 words in length (apart from February 28 & 29, which are 200 words combined). Most of our Challengeers find it hard keeping to the 750 word count limit. Imagine communicating a complete story, with believable characters, in exactly 100 words. Imagine then doing that for every day of the year. It is an amazing achievement.
Stolen Postcards goes on sale October 17. Order your copy today and see for yourself exactly how amazing our Jan is.
Looking forward to reading it... I'm thinking this may be a perfect gift for the person that has everything but you still want to give them something meaningful.
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10

Good on you!
And yes, this is an ideal gift, particularly for time-poor people who like to read. They could make it last the whole year.

It sounds like something sentimental with a twist...
Think I may pick up a copy myself. It does sound like a nice gift idea, also. Intriguing.
Congrats, to the author.

Just so you know...although some of the short stories might be called sentimental, that's not a word I'd apply to the book in general. It's got too much of a variety for that adjective to fit exactly. Some are funny, some sad, some thought-provoking, some romantic, some edgy...it's a little bit of everything.

I have a love affair with words. I write, even when I think I can't. I'm hooked on words!
"Let words bewitch you. Scrutinze them, mull them, savor them, and in combination, until you see their subtle differences and the ways they tint each other."Francis Flaherty
I wonder if other people have the same "problem" I have after reading Jan's book. Someone will mention something, and I go, "There's a story about that in Jan's book." LOL. Happens all the time (and Steve is usually on the receiving end).
I have 365 illustrations up my sleeve.
