Need Another Reason To Participate In Jan's Lessons?

Around the end of January, I wrote a vignette for Jan's lesson on characterization in which I invented two characters--Amanda and Lise (Scroll down to the 11th post.):

After writing it, I just couldn't bear to leave poor Amanda in such a sorry state, so I expanded the vignette into a short story. Yesterday, the short story was published in Mused Literary Review:

Thanks to my Challenge buddies Rachel Barrett, Milly Born, and Kat Kane for their help with this story. And thanks especially to Jan for all of her lessons which have helped me so much. I think my experience illustrates that it pays to participate in the lessons as well as read them.:)

Thank you! What a lovely thing to say. And congratulations on the publication of your story.

I've missed doing the lessons during this summer break, but there's no way I would have had time to write them, let alone respond to postings. But I'll be back in August, to be sure.

Oh I'm so happy for you! Happy Dance!!! :superhappy I agree, Jan has helped me so much. Now if she could just get me to be as brave as you and actually submit some of my stuff.

I can say if not for her great advice, Shari's referrals and encouragement and support from many people here at FW, I would not be doing the editing work and critiques that God has blessed me with, so I too echo heartfelt appreciation. :thankssign
