Despite the system being very picky on what format the MS Word Document could be (doesn't like Word 97-2003) and despite my silly firewall program blocking the initial submission because (GASP!) my e-mail address was on the form (it sometimes blocks my e-mail sending), I'm finally in with a few hours to spare.
My first draft of the synopsis came in at around 515 words, so I pared it down and the official count on the form ended up at 465. Chapter 1, on the other hand, tallies at almost 3300.
Kind of wish I'd decided I was going to do this a week or two ago, so I could have taken a bit more time revising and refining chapter 1 (against all advice I give to the contrary on playing with chapter 1 before the whole manuscript is written). Oh well; c'est la vie. The worst that happens is I don't win, and I can still be happy for whoever does.
I think I know what my next ticker will end up being.
Okay... I'm in...

Well, it is 5 months until the contest winner is announced, and only 2 months, 4 days until my ticker counts down. I have been known to go to great lengths to carry a gag through to the bitter end.itsjoanne wrote:Hehe - you think you will wait that long to change it, Rick?Hoomi wrote: I think I know what my next ticker will end up being.
