Expecting soon!

Postby Shann » Tue Mar 13, 2018 5:45 pm

M is going to be induced tomorrow! I can't wait to meet our new granddaughter. We are also expecting another foot of snow or so too. I'm hoping I can get on the road after the plows are out and before too much snow hits so I can help watch Payton while Mom and Dad are at hospital. I'm going to spend the night with my other daughter so I can be nearby if she hasn't had the baby by night fall. I also can spend Thursday morning with Payton too. Being a grandmother of one has been the most amazing role to date so I'm sure having two will at least double the adventure!

Being a grandma is so awesome. I wish I could share pictures of my little ones but Mom and Dad don't want them on the Internet. Payton looks a lot like her mom and there's a picture of her that looks a lot like me when I was that age. She's finally starting to get some blonde hair. It's still pretty short even though she'll be 3 next month. Not quite long enough to pull back. Because she doesn't have a lot of hair, even when she's wearing purple frilly dresses she still gets called a boy. She has beautiful blue eyes. Lyncoln is so sweet but at 3 weeks, I can already tell she's very different from her sister. She is pretty bald too but has more hair than her sister did. It looks darker like maybe it'll be brown but that can change so fast. She fits in the nook of my arm just perfectly.

Congratulations on the new grandchild! It is awesome, no matter how many you have. We are expecting a grandchild (boy) in October. He will be our 12th and it is just as exciting and special as the first.

It is awesome being a grandmother! There's a special love I never could have imagined until those little girls came into my life. I thought it would be similar to how I feel about my kids, but it's different and wonderful.
