Winter Writer's Retreat in MI, maybe IN or IL

This may be short notice for some of you, but there will be a winter writer's retreat in Buchanan, MI (SW Michigan, not too long of a drive for those in NW Indiana or the Chicago area) on January 29-31.

It's a lovely farmhouse called Still Waters Retreat Center (they have a website). The numbers have to be kept low (7 or 8 women), so if you think you might be interested, contact me quickly. We have 3 women booked at this point, and would like to complete the bookings by this Friday, Jan. 15.

There is no agenda, nothing scheduled apart from time to quietly fellowship and get in some uninterrupted writing.

Cost to book the retreat center for the weekend is $350, no matter how many attendees there are. So if we get 7 people, it will only be $50 for the two nights--quite a bargain!

Please let me know if you have any questions, either by posting a reply here or sending me a PM.

Just giving this a little bump. We had such a lovely time last year, and we'd love to have a repeat performance, but for some reason, we're unable to get commitments this year.

What if I threw in a free mini-critique for incentive?

How many people are in the group?
Does the group have a specific focus, such as fiction, non-fiction, essays, poems, etc.?
Are you getting some benefit from your participation?
Is it highly structured, or more casual?

I'm asking because I belong to a group and have attended meetings of other groups that function quite differently. My group could use some improvement in how we function, but I'm not sure what changes will be best.
