InkyWa wrote:(have to find an agent first, scratch that need to finish edits first)-- my book might not be ready until October anyway but it's good to know this in case it is.

Thinking of entering my NaNo novel... couple of question. If I have a half-page prologue, can I submit both that and the first chapter?

Also, am I allowed to submit the story to the contest and then send it to an agent before waiting for the results of the contest?

Thanks!

Great article. :) David Ian said somthing similar at the last FW conference. Good idea to keep working on other things so your heart isn't as wrapped up in the one prized manuscript.

Re: Interpreting the Challenge Ranking

Hi Lillian! :) The rating can be a little confusing. There are winners each week within each level--and only within the level. So if you were 10 in the top 15 of beginniners, that means of all the beginning level entries, your rating was the 10th highest. Only the top 15 are shown so the lowest few ...

Joni Earikson Tada just published a book called A Place of Healing about why God doesn't always heal. Here's a link to an interview Time.com did with her.

Feel free to add links to other articles or good books.
