Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

You have heard of the Nano thingy right, where they write a book in one month? I am sure you can do it in two. Rachel told me about that actually. I don't have enough free hours to do it in a month, but I think I'm doing pretty well so far. Got a little less than 7k words. 53k more.... :? Wr...

Still here! Hi! The break from the Challenge threw me off. Of course now I'm taking a break from the Challenge to write a book... I can do that in 8 weeks, right?

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Glad you're all okay! I was in a 6.5 about 12 years ago when I was living in California and I remember waking up to the sound of the rumbling first and then the shaking as well.

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Just to clarify, the pony/mini horse is going to be a live living breathing animal that says whinny- whinny? Right? We never said that. Rachel and I will spend the break from the challenge finding the perfect one for you. :D And thank you for the happy dance. It's been a very quick trip up t...

Thanks Shann! I had a hunch it was something like that. That's interesting about the Pampers. We use cloth diapers for our kids so they didn't get us!

Re: Be a Better Writer--GREAT ENDINGS

I like that idea a lot, Jan. It furthers the point, builds up the serious factor, without being super direct like mine was. I'm pretty proud of this story especially since, looking at the feedback on it, it's caused a lot of reader interaction which I love. It's one I'm going to look into getting pu...

Re: Be a Better Writer--GREAT ENDINGS

I just commented on a great story where the author went 2 or 3 lines too many. It would have been brilliant if she had left out those lines. I'll see if she will be willing to post it here and get your feedback. I don't want to do it for her, but she sent me a sweet PM agreeing and explaining why s...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

You ladies are too kind. I am quite lucky in that my in laws do take the kidlets quite a bit to give me a break, but the respite is always too short and too long at the same time. Oh well. Time goes fast blah blah blah. They'll be waving goodbye to me soon enough.
