Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Wow, Shann! That must have been absolutely miserable to have to recover from 4th degree tears and an episiotomy. At least where I live, forceps use has become very rare and they will almost always opt for a C-section over forceps. Is that true for where you work Leah? Okay, you guys can skip this pa...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

It's too bad you can't come this year, Rachel. It's going to be much further away the next 2, possibly 3 years. You can do the Google chat thing that Amy & Shari are setting up...see thread in the conference forum. And I still am open for a roommate Thursday & Friday night, just in case... T...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Busy delivery last night, but good. I thought for a second that she would be a C-section, but thankfully the baby recovered and came out not too long after that. I kept them until morning, so I didn't have to rush with the bath and stuff, so she had a very nice recovery. The last two labor patients...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

I`m thankful that none of my children are as thrill seeking as I was. Keep praying "Mother's Curse" doesn't take over, maybe they will seek their adventure in reading. Totally! My 11 year old daughter is pretty wild, but no serious injuries or ER visits yet, so I am super thankful. I have...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

So last night both my Aunt and my Niece ended up in the same ER at the same time. My brother even thought he saw our Aunt but then thought "No that can't be possible" (they're visiting from out of state and he probably didn't know they were here already). Yikes! Sounds awful. I hope that everyone i...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Welcome, Rachel & DJ. I grew up north of Seattle but south of Everett, and have been through Bellingham and to B.C. and the (Vancouver) Island multiple times. Maybe in one of my pictures I have your island, Rachel. My island. :) I like that! I grew up on Cortes Island. My mom and grandparents still...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Oh what a beautiful family. I'd show mine, but all that computer stuff is over my head which Is one of the reasons I fell in love with a computer geek. Otherwise I'd have had to marry a glass repairman to fixed all The windows when I throw The computer through them. Computers and I have a tenuous r...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Oh, by the way, you wouldn't happen to have a family pic to share, would you? I had six kids in my family as well, but I am sure your kids are a whole lot better than we were. Here is a recent picture of my kiddos. My oldest daughter is 13, then I have an 11 yo daughter, 9 yo twin boys and then my ...

Re: Pacific Coast Rest-Stop

Hi guys! Leah invited me over for a visit, so I decided to drop in. As much as I would like to read the last 1200 pages of this thread  I decided that I had to consider the time factor and I went back and read the last 5. You all seem to know each other so well. Jumping in like this feels a li...

Re: Writing Software

Technically, a writer can write without novel software. Heck, they can even write without a computer. The point of writing software is to make it easier in keeping track of things, especially big projects like novels. Most novel software (the good ones) will keep track of writing notes, projects id...
