Re: Winners for CHECKING IN OR OUT Challenge

Deb, I sure do want to receive notifications. I don't see anything on my profile page to change it so I can receive them. How can I fix it? Sorry Yvonne had to change her name. Hope she is not upset. Computer programs can be very frustrating sometimes. Blessings, LaVonne

Re: Winners for CHECKING IN OR OUT Challenge

Deb, I check the forums for new posts every day and found your message. I did not get a notification in my E-mail if that is what you wanted. Would it help if I changed my name on the Forms to LaVonne instead of Vonnie? Hope we can get the problem solved. God bless!

Re: A week off, and a question

Jan, I would like to see something on submitting short stories, articles, or poetry to editors for possible publication. Years ago I typed them out on my typewriter and sent them in. Everything has changed with computers and the internet. I know you have to follow the writer's guideline for each pub...

Re: Be a Better Writer--TRANSPARENCY

Jan, Thanks for explaining the difference between devotional and inspirational writing. I write a lot of devotionals, but would really rather write longer pieces of the inspirational type. The problem I am facing is the one you mentioned of hurting someones feelings or maybe more serious. I live in ...

Re: Writing Challenge Feedback Reports and Rating Categories

Deb, Would you suggest that I get a feedback report if I placed in the top 20 overall? I won 2nd and 3rd place in my level my last two entries, but not in the top 10 (EC). I am anxious to get a report, but don't want to waste them either. God bless! LaVonne

Re: Be a Better Writer--WORKING WITH AN EDITOR

I just found out that Word 2010 starter does not include Track Changes, so I will have to upgrafe to get it. I watched it on YouTube and seems like a great tool. Thanks.

Re: Be a Better Writer--WORKING WITH AN EDITOR

What is "Track Changes"? I have Microsoft Word Starter 2010 and I really have problems with this program to get it to do what I want. Any suggestions on a better program.

I like all your information and have heard most of it before in classes I have taken. Thanks for the info. LaVonne

Re: Be a Better Writer--RESOURCES FOR THE WRITER

I get an e-mail every day. I think this is the link to sign up for the newsletter:

Not sure how I got started with this. Must have been searching the web or something.

Re: Be a Better Writer--RESOURCES FOR THE WRITER

This might not be quite what you are looking for, but Brian Scott has a FreelanceWriting Morning Coffee Newsletter. He lists, daily, many different magazines, and businesses that are looking for writers. I haven't used the site to get a job yet, but am looking at possible magazines to consider once ...

Re: Be a Better Writer--Ask Me Anything (Again)

Yes, that is exactly what I was looking for. I would want to be able to work with an editor to help me get my point of view expressed in a way that my readers will understand. I write mostly non-fiction, as I am not good with plot and characterization. I have looked at the list of editors you mentio...
